Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Yeah. I expect to find it in the $100-130ish range. I'd wouldn't complain about that. $150 tops, worst case scenario.
I "need" both Alfred and the cave, so paying a bit more wouldn't kill me, ya know?

How much did you pay for the Batwing, bro?
It's $175 SRP too, and comes with much less than the Batcave set!

I didn't get the Batwing. After watching it's price jump the way it did I just passed. Might snag that sometime for $100 or less if I see one. I'm in no hurry for that though, would still need to find it a spot anyway

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Got Riddler and Catwoman today. they're actually really awesome in hand, especially Riddler. And they look great with the other TNBA rogues too!

Lovely NBA figures, I have a special appreciation for them. Looking forward to get those two. Riddler looks good although I may have more love for Kenner´s NBA Riddler´s than DCC´s NBA Riddler.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Anybody get a phone call and/or e-mail from Donald Tapia of Entertainment Earth? I got both yesterday, specifically to solicit pre-orders for the Batcave Vignette. I've ordered most of my Animated Batman figures from them, but didn't think it was enough to warrant a personal phone call for this item.

I don't know whether to feel flattered or spammed. :huh

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I'll post comparison shots later.

It's about as much of an upgrade as the Batsignal Batman with painted lips and fuller eyes was to the crappy original BTAS Batman with the slit eyes, non-painted lips and breakable tight right hip

I figure the next BTAS Batman release will have finally gotten it all right, hopefully with the large Phantasm cape and/or a glider. It only have taken them 5+ tries.

I gotta disagree. I have them both and while the nose is not flat and broken the jaw line and mouth are much better on MOTP Batman. It's all opinion but I'm right, lol.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Has anyone removed TNBA Two-Face's "normal" eyebrow? I am worried about removing it (even though it's more on model) because as usual they seem to put too much or too little "eye-liner" on the figs and I am not sure the remaining paint on Two Face will make the figure look too "bare".

"Even though the nose is chipped off/missing and the Chinese factory forgot the white paint for the teeth, I still think the head is superior because jaw."

:lol

I find the ears of the original MOTP to be better: Pointier and thinner.

My MOTP head came with painted teeth. So, no problems there.

Nose is decent on mine. I removed the paint a bit on the sides and beneath it, and the shape of it became more prominent and accurate.

Jaw on mine looks like the one on the new one.

This is my MOTP head:

So, the new one only wins in the nose category. But mine's nose is a great #2. :dunno
I, personally, don't see a good reason to get this new head.

I think that was the second time I asked if you got the wing. :rotfl:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl
My bad.

Yeah, just take your time and wait for a decent price. Have you checked eBay? Always great deals there. Got some figures through it.
Hope I can find the cave set there for around $100-130.

Haha no worries man. I meant a place to put it, not a place to buy it from haha. I'm not too crafty with many things, so I'm not sure I could pull off a stable custom mount lol.
Same! Also not sure where I'd put it though. My shelves don't have 15 inches of depth, and I don't want it hanging out a couple inches haha

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Hey guys, so I sculpted a new, bigger head for Bruce Wayne BUT I'm not 100% happy with it, not sure what it is though :/ Can you point out any issues you can see in this? *paint in not final

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Since you are asking for suggestions, the only thing that I see that is a little off is that the wrong cheek looks like it was enlarged. If he is smirking off to his right, then his right cheek should be bigger than the left. It appears that you currently have the left, bigger than the right.

Hmmm... Almost seems like the head is slightly too big now. I think it's more of an issue that he seems to have just a bit too much hair on the very top of his head and maybe if the head could sit a little lower on the neck. Just seems like a combination of a few small details together.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Thanks for the feedback guys! I will try to work on him some more this weekend. (Somethings when you look at something for too long you can't see the flaws so thanks!)

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

A little more if you don't mind, Tom: The face doesn't seem to take up enough surface area on the front of the head, the chin appears too round and too fat, and it looks like there are no temples/divots on the sides of his head next to the eyes.

Very good feedback buddy - thank you! I'm usually quite happy with my customs but this one is giving me a headache. Such a simple design but not easy to capture with different reference photos. Thanks all :D

Hair/head is a little bulbous.

Shortened things up, squared the top of his head and chin a little bit. Elongated his face/nose. Took off the left frown line, added an under line to the lip.
