Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I got a question, how do you guys handle storing all the different accessories for figures? Normally I keep boxes for figuarts but my closet is getting filled with boxes so I may just end up throwing away the boxes. If this Batman line continues to pump out accessories I'm going to need a new storage method. I'm probably not going to keep any of these boxes since I open all my stuff and these boxes aren't reseable. Also is there a good way to dispense of the plastic trays and stuff that figures come in?

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I can't wait for your review, man. Are you going to do these one figure at a time, or are you going to wait for the whole wave?

Thanks dude! We are doing them one at a time... With each one coming with so much stuff (and our combined love of the show), I have a feeling that trying to tackle more than one figure in a review would be too much. :) I absolutely cannot wait to get started on these. I will probably do pics tonight and we will record tomorrow to get it up this weekend.

And having had the figure a few hours now, I have to say I agree with previous posts- This is the finest Batman I have ever bought from DCC. It is quite an amazing figure. The articulation, sculpt, extras.... It all just adds up to one of the best toy buys ever for under $25.

Ziploc bags...but I'm sure there are better options :D

Nicely done, CP! Must resist...must hold out for Catwoman. ;)

Thanks! :hi5: Be strong...you can do it! :D

^^ :goodpost: Good review. That dude is always so rough with his figures, especially his HT figures :lol He broke another figure during a review :lol

I only made it about halfway through the video... But just a head's up to anyone that watches it- The head pushes down further than what he shows. I had that gap at first too after switching capes before realizing it could push down further. :)

:goodpost: Yeah, I was just looking at mine, and it doesn't have that huge gap.

Alright, just opened mine. The verdict?

It's a piece of junk.

Didn't even touch that ankle by the way. Barely even had it out for 30 seconds. This thing is garbage. Pretty disappointing.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Yeah, I was pretty pumped when I got a whiff of that "new toy smell" but maaaaan, what a POS. I was sort of looking forward to Catwoman next week, but not now. She's even thinner, I'm sure her joints will be horrendous.

My package was perfect too. Should have just left it carded I guess. Oh well.

Oh...wow! What are those cracks on the side? It looks like it got hit by a hammer! :horror

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

After looking at photos of the extra hand sculpts I can't help (or hope) but think that those larger open grip hands could potentially be for gripping a steering wheel or bike handles......

They really left it open for the vehicles, though, with the way these guys are made. You could include alternate "helmeted" heads, flowing capes, and extra hands with each bike.

Damn, man. I am truly sorry. That's a shame. Have you contacted your LCS about a replacement, yet?

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

My thoughts exactly. I looked over all of them at the store too and picked out the best one as far as paint apps go (there were a couple with splotches and misaligned black on the symbol and gloves).

I couldn't see the waist considering the twist tie was blocking it. Obviously couldn't predict the ankles. Why does he have a flesh torso under there?

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Sorry to all of you who've had breakages. That totally sucks. Now I'm debating whether to get this line. Seven figures, depending on where I get them, is about $150+. Sigh.

It's just a toy. I'm getting flashbacks to my NECA T-1000 6 inch figures. Pretty much every one of those were broken. The ones that were fine eventually fell apart. Sad thing is, from the belt up, this thing seems pretty well made (well, other than that defect going on with the side torso). It's the hips, legs and feet that are crap.

And by the time I'd get to the store, they'll be closed. Maybe I'll try tomorrow. If the option is a replacement, I won't be opening it. I'm keeping these carded from now on.

I just glued mine. I don't expect too much more for a 25 dollar figure, TBH.

Yeah. Which foot broke on you, left or right? I didn't even try and turn or pose the damn thing. Looking at the peg though, I'm not surprised it broke. It's really small.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Really digging this guy! No breaks to speak of. I'll have to touch up the shorts, but that just gives me an opportunity to fill in those horrid pins. Gotta say the inclusion of two distinct cape really makes this figure for me.
