Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Messing around with some effects..Woah I just had a Kenner 12"-15" flashback with this shot :horror

I just realized that the so called "unpainted" part of the eyes is actually the border of the mask.

Looks great and gives it a realistic look. I like it.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I've heard from members here that the TNBA Batgirl feels "off" and I really didn't understand until I compared my to the prototype. Well it turns out she's missing the blue highlights around the crown of her forehead.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Yes! It's to bad that the hand painted prototypes get more detail than the production fogures. We just went though this discussion with Batman. They also didn't paint her grapple gun either.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Something tells me these figures were forced out the factory doors before they could properly be inspected. And that itself is a shame because these figures originally had a June release date so they are 4 months late.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

For the ones who want the Phantasm 2-pack Batman to look like Kenner's:

Send an e-mail to DCC telling you don't like the head they gave him and suggest they make the head of the Phantasm 2-pack Batman just like the Kenner one.
Include photos of both Kenner Batman and DCC Bats, circling what you don't like about the new one.

They hear what fans have to say. I'm sure that the more people sending e-mails, the best is the chance that the upcoming new one will look like Kenner's.
We still have time. And they can delay the release date of the 2-pack anyway, to accomplish that.

The e-mail is [email protected]
They reply everyone.

I'm sending.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I think the delay was to change the plastic they were made of. Also I don't think DCC is going to pay for handpainting on each fig.

Don't be mad but I'm sending out a completely different email. Because personally now that we have this line I would love (and I mean LOVE) if they could recreate the vehicles from the kenner BTAS line. I can't be the only one who would want to see 6" scale vehicles like the Joker mobile, the Robin Dragster, the Robin Cycle, the B.A.T.V, the Aero-Bat, the HoverBat, the Batplane and a bunch of others.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Has anyone here bought from dreamlandcomics.com ? I'm considering ordering some figures from them...

Sorry for the crappy quality!

For those (like me) who wanted the wider eyes from the prototype... I tried to paint them wider and swiftly realized my hand eye coordination is not what I thought it was! Then, though, I had the idea to xacto knife some white sticker into new eyes and put em on the head. Helps a lot and looks pretty natural.

Send two e-mails, then. :lol

They're pretty kind.

But I'm sure they won't do such vehicles, except for the Batplane. They've said that the idea of the line is to be show-accurate.
The vehicles you mentioned (again, except the Batplane) never existed on the show.

It's perfect! For this look

Uh..this is probably the last look I want on my Batman figure, but if it works for you congrats :slap

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Sometimes I worry about people sending emails to DCC.... I imagine that a fair few of them are just just fan boys ranting about something or demanding something in a less than professional manner. I feel for the guy reading those emails!

But it worries me since we now have this means to get in touch with them, and I'd hate if they took that away due to getting too many negative or demanding emails from fans. It's so rare to have this communication with a company like this.

Maybe I'm worried over nothing, and I certainly hope that people are being polite and professional in their emails to DCC. A little professionalism, politeness, charm and courteousness in communication goes a long, long way.

And finally, this post is NOT aimed at anyone in particular. I see people on many sites posting about how they're going to email DCC and I just cringe at the thought of those emails.....

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I really want a batcycle made (and they can include a batman with that cool helmet headsculpt). As a kid, I was so pissed off that the cycle was released as a gimmick type toy, with legs molded on the bike. Especially since it was just as prominent on the show as the batmobile.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I almost finished my custom BTAS Poison Ivy! What do you guys think? She is my favorite Batman's villain so I'm never 100% happy with my work on Ivy. Any feedback will be appreciated :) (What accessories should she come with apart from crossbow and the plant?)

Holy CRAP that is awesome Zelu! You have a real eye for the ladies especially. Really inspirational.

That collectors eye fix doesn't look like those gifs at all.

The BTAS Ivy figure looks amazing. Great work, dig the sculpt and the rose is a nice touch.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Amazing work Zelu!! The colours are fantastic and I love the hair sculpt. Perfect! Makes me want a DCC BTAS Ivy even more now. I hope she's in the next wave of figures after that Clayface wave.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Thanks guys!! I have been staring at her for hours and repainting the face but I think she looks fine now. The bottom part of her hair is made out of blue-tack so she can still move the head pretty well. I wonder what DCC guys will do about that, will they push her hair to the back, make them out of softer plastic or just sculpt like Batgirl and limit the articulation. Either way I can't wait to see her :D

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

If their Ivy looks anywhere near as good as yours, I'll be content.

These are my most wanted next. As long as they get to them, I'm good for the rest of the line. After these, the BTAS waves could end for all I care. Any extras like Bruce Wayne, Alfred, Gray Ghost, or Replicant Batman would be a nice bonus that I'd gladly buy.
