Wait wait I also have a joke with a built in punchline!

Ok you ready!

B+

Waits for Murray?s phone call.

Big deal. If you love or hate a film, why do you need other people to validate your opinion. I’ve enjoyed films that had low RT scores, and watch films with an A score that made over 1B dollars that I thought were steaming piles of crap (“cough” Captain Marvel “cough”). While I respect other people’s opinions. It does little to change my mind about something I choose to like.

It is fun to bring up the scores just to get people salty. It’s really the only thing they’re good for. :lol

I also like scanning the blurbs to see who’s the douchiest smartypants that actually says nothing.

I rate the Joker as such:

Not a huge Batman fan.

Really liked this movie, always kept me wanting more. I wish their were a couple more of the staircase type of scenes with that music (hey song) But like i said, it kept me wanting more.
Film of the year? I dunno.. For me it was!

Double posting this ..

Joker - 8.5/10

Joaquin Phoenix gave a career topping performance, of a caliber most actors dream about, but he's still not the best Joker.

Not to diminish JP's performance, but his was a profile of mental illness, and incredibly executed, but im not sure I ever really bought that he was The Joker. He deserves, and will likely be nominated for a Oscar.

The movie was gritty, real, depressing, and in a way, beautifully grimey in it's depiction of a city in a state of decay.

Yet, the whole DC universe felt shoehorned in, like it didn't quite fit. It would have been better off if they just ignored that aspect of it.

I also feel like the message would have benefited more, had the DC Universe not been baggage.

At first I was like why did the Wall Street dudes have to be white why couldn?t they have been Wall Street black, asian or hispanic dudes?

Would?ve that been so unbelievable lol

But then it dawned on me that it probably would?ve been too similar to the Bernhard Goetz vigilante 1984 subway shooting of the four black man which means it would?ve painted Joker into a different narrative then what they were going for.

Damn such a good movie. The music really makes this movie it hits all the right notes. Some stuff is hard to watch. A great contrast from the bright and colorful hopeful marvel films that try and please everyone. That?s why I love DC as well as marvel. DC can come up with amazing content if they apply themselves. Don?t try and copy the marvel format. Let marvel be happy and comedic and DC you give us **** like this.

Funny how marvel is actually supposed to be the dark one.

But great movie and just amazing joker. Up there with ledger. Anything is better than that tri hard crap we got in SS.

I think it evens out because he killed the biggest white guy he could find.
Even Mu kahn oh hey couldn't beat him.
