Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

I just want to know what Batman did with his 200+ Riddler trophies he picked up :lol

Probably use them as door stops, gave them away to his friends or maybe even used them to reinforce the foundation in the south east corner.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

He only has to find them. He doesn't have to keep them. "Found it, punk," ... and then crush it on his forehead and chunk it at a random thug. Probably should've taken the last one and shoved it down Riddler's throat.

That's something they could work into Arkham 3 ... the creative use of Riddler trophies as melee weapons.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

Hey folks, I just got into collecting the DCD AA & AC Series. Could someone tell me why Bane is so expensive? Will Killer Croc & The Titan Joker be as rare/valuable later down the line since they are both deluxe figures? I'm confused...

Mad Hatter looks a lot nicer here to me than in his promo shots which is great. The coolest thing though is the variant Clown Thug!! Awesome army-building stuff :D

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

These all look really great. Kinda makes me wish id been collecting them. Mr Freeze especially looks stunning, as well as Mad Hatter. Even the Joker thugs look really great. Not liking that Catwoman though, the face looks terrible. The rest look really great though.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

I wish Catwomans face was a little nicer but overall they all look great.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

Yeah, thats awesome there will be Joker Thug variants! I really hope online shops offer a full set of five figures plus the variant(s) Thugs.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

Wow, that Detective Batman's headsculpt and paint combo makes it look really really great! Im hoping it will translate into the normal Batman release in Series 3 being that good...

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

Thanks for the new pics. There is really no weak figure in that lot. Detective Batman looks really good, but I'll hold out for a normal version in a future wave. Might even pick up a goon, even though I'd planned not to.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

Looking at Freeze in these pics, I don't see any details or sculpting that would warrant it being a Deluxe Figure.:dunno

Besides that, everything looks great, really loving the variant thugs.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

Oh Wow, with that face Catwoman's figure should be called Dogwoman. Terrible.

with that body who's going to be looking at the face?

seriously this is a very strong line up can't wait, and Hush reminds me of the rat king from the TMNT crossed with X-Men's Gambit.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

It might be that the lighting's bad since I've seen better pics of her elsewhere, and she may look a lot nicer in-hand. Guess we'll have to wait and see... I think she looks great anyway and the rest of the figures look awesome too.
Just hope that Toyfair this weekend will still give us a few things we haven't seen!

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

Yikes, Catwoman and Riddler don't look so good there. I hope thats prototype rushed paint jobs throwing it off, they are the two I want most. Still no glasses on Riddler either, frankly I'd rather have the glasses then the bowler on this look. Freeze looks good, and it's still better then paying $150 for a Bane.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

Finally got around to opening AC series 1, and is it just me, or are Infected Bruce's hands really small? I mean, seriously, they're smaller than Robin's. All in all, its a weak wave with 2 repeats and Robin, but still really good. I think Harley is my favorite from this wave, and I thought I'd like her the least.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

Mr. Freeze is my most wanted figure in this line-up. I always liked his character cause even tho he's a villain you can sympathize with him, and his new design kicks all sorts of ass. ya the prices bane goes for now are retarded and it may go to the $200 mark like nightmare spawn. who knows. these figures will surly go for 100 buck on e-bay one say but they will also cost more at retail.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

I actually think those are production sample figures pictured there (except perhaps series 3 figures). Notice they are using that semi-translucent skintone plastic on them. The resin protos were painted, not cast in flesh tone. So I'm thinking what we see for series 2 is what we're going to get.

Croc also looks different to me, which makes me think he might be a production sample as well. Can't tell with Freeze. But Croc looks different (like in proto to production results different) but still great.

I've guessing they've only teased us with these pics so far since nothing is new here, except the variant thug of course, but again, its just a repaint, so nothing new technically there. Well, I guess the knife/bat accessories :lol

So I'm thinking Ra's, Bats, and Az for sure at Toyfair, if not Grundy and more! :D

Hope so! Really want to see the sculpts for the other wave 3 figures. Grundy would be great to see aswell. Any more than those would be an awesome bonus. And if by any chance they show/announce a deluxe Bane I'll have a complete geekasm! :lol
