Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

I don't think they have to scrape, just keep in mind they follow a pattern with waves where theirs at least a few main characters mixed in and usually a Batman. Otherwise people just getting into the line won't buy the minor side characters.

Hallucination Batman
Two-Face
Deadshot
Black Mask
Random Gang Thug or Tyger Guard

Heavily Damaged Batman (even more damaged then the last one, poisoned, busted cowl etc.)
Nightwing
Talia Al Ghul
Hugo Strange
LOA Ninja

And I'm guessing Solomon Grundy will come out at the same time as the Titan Joker, since Freeze and Croc are coming at the same time. So I could see them doing Clayface with a Titan Monster or one of the Bros. Likely Hammer since you face him twice.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

It would be nice if they could make figures that arent in the game but Rocksteady had done a concept for if any.

I really would love to see a Killer Moth, Firefly and Great White. I hoping they are in game 3.

Those are pretty much what was posting before for a 4th and 5th wave. I was saying it would be more difficult to get a good 6th wave. Its possible though.

I'd be surprised if Grundy wasn't with Titan Joker.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

I'd rather have a clay-covered Batman over a "Hatter tea party" Batman. I actually thought that mask was kinda stupid looking. Definitely the battle damage, though.

Given how big Bane was last go-round, it may be possible to do Hammer and Sickle twins as standard figures ... particularly since Freeze is deluxe. Not sure the twins are big-name enough to sell well at deluxe prices ... and those two waves look a lot better with those guys instead of "random thug" and "ninja chick".

I think it problem with them IS that Freeze is a deluxe. Someone like him that looks small enough to be a standard figure is forced into the deluxe category, someone bigger like Mr. Hammer would surely be a deluxe now. Getting big guys like Bane as a standard figure is a thing of the past IMO.

I think Battle damage, mud, and Hatter Batmans are all possible variants. With probably one of them the SDCC one. Hatter would be the best choice for that, but given the fact the previous BD Batman was a SDCC ex, it wouldn't surprise me if the next one was too.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

lol I called it about the Clown goon, cept I said theyd be double packs. One with a baseball bat and make up, another with a rifle and a mask in a jacket.

infact, wouldnt it be good if there were variants for each goon? Like the trophys you get in AC, you have two different Joker goons, two different penguin goons, one with a sniper rifle in the winter jacket, another with a shield , and two-face goons, one with a rifle and another with a machette.

I wouldnt mind Tyger Guards; One fully body armoured with sniper rifle, another with shock sticks. Would be really good.

My old post. WE NEED GOONS.

And we need a battle damaged batman with the Line launcher, and we need a variant in which he will be covered with Clay, and have the sword in one hand, and the Freeze grenade in the other.

Otherwise, I think thats it for batman. Though, I wouldnt mind a mad hatter Batman, it was unique enough but in a way, id hope its a deluxe and its batman in a chair or something, to make it really worth a purchase.

Wouldnt it be nice to have a diaorama set of Hatter stood on the table, dead goons and batman sat at the table, and its full of crockery and books spread all over? LOL!

Finally beat The Riddler. Most satisfying takedown in the game.

So true. I just wish you got to button mash him to death :lol

:lol
totally agree! getting all those riddles lost it's fun factor for me about halfway through and became more of a psycho completion thing for me :slap but man was it great to finally beat him. Can't wait for his figure

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

Right! i really hope they give them his glasses. the proto doesn't have them right?

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

Yep, nothing on the proto or at NYCC. Hopefully they have them on him at Toy Fair. I don't see why they wouldn't include them with him, its not like they haven't release figures with glasses before (I know of Gordon at the very least). :dunno

And it wouldn't kill them to throw in a Riddler trophy either.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

a riddler trophy would definitely be a nice touch to the figure. Is ToyFair this coming weekend?

I'm confident the glasses will be added in production - just like Scarecrow's needles in wave 1 of the AA figures. Those weren't shown on the figure at all in any marketing photos or toy fairs, and it wasn't until final production that they were added. Same with the gold chain on Harley in wave 1 of the AC figures.
Still, it would be nice to see him with them on before release, though I doubt they'd go to the trouble of producing one pair of glasses for him just for Toy Fair.

And yeah, a Riddler trophy would be awesome!

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

What they really need to make is a 1/1 Riddler Trophy ...

It could be a lamp. :lol

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

I just want to know what Batman did with his 200+ Riddler trophies he picked up :lol

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

He keeps all 400 + in his Trophy Room in the Batcave.

Think of how horrifying the concept of a third game expanding into that Gotham Skyline we see and being 5x bigger then AC is in relation to the potential for thousands of Riddler trophies.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

Some of those Riddles were actual Riddles and physical challenges, they weren't all trophies ;)

But I mean, where did he stash them? I know you can't stuff all of those in your utility belt until you get back to the Batcave :lol
