Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

I'd be happy with either Deadshot or Calendar Man whatever the outcome.

It does seem to good an oppotunity to miss though revealing Calendar Man on Halloween, so unless it's just a massive coincidence, I'm still inclined to believe it's him we'll see.

I remember a good while back the picture below caused a lot of people to think the silhouettes were of the actual figures, and look how that turned out. Infact, aren't these the same silhouettes as the new one shown??

Oh I didn't realise that! Ah..., well now I'm not sure at all! :/ it could be anyone?! :L weird how they had the shadow of what appears to be deadshot all that time ago and he hasn't been released... Hmmm?!

Well they're not exactly the same shape, but it does raise doubts... I'm not AS sure as I was before about Deadshot, but I still think it is.

Exactly! The silhouette is definately of Deadshot, but there is no reason the believe that that silhouette is of the acutal figure. This being their first "spoiler alert" we have no idea what to expect. The 31st is the end of the month, which may be when they will always reveal the mystery item. And the silhouette may or may not be of that item as well. I just don't know enough yet to know.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

Maybe its an actual game spoiler. It can't be Clayface, because that'd be a deluxe ... unless it is some sort of Clayface/Joker mix. Maybe its a Harley's Revenge Harley Quinn. Neither Deadshot nor Calendar Man would qualify as a spoiler. Strange and Two Face were in the trailer ... so definitely not a spoiler.

No, its a new ploy they are trying out called "spoiler alert" where they give a teaser of a new product and then show it later in the month. Pretty lame IMO.

Plus the game's been out a year, if you haven't bought and played it by then, you deserved to get spoiled :lol

Heck, MSN had this big "Is he Robin" about TDKR on their main page about JGL and Nolan saying he's not Robin, its just a wink and laugh at you guys :rotfl

Just saw this on Figures.com, apparently you can also fit Penguin's cigar into his mouth too. Didn't know that! Nice little touch there :)

How did this guy do it? I've been trying for 10 minutes here...if anyone has managed to do this please let me now how!!!!!

How did this guy manage to fit the cigar in Penguin's mouth? I've been trying for 10 minutes straight and I can seem to to it. If anyone else has managed to fit that cigar in the figure's mouth please tell me how you did it.

On a unrelated note, since so many people are speculating on who the mystery figure is in wave 4. Alot of people have said Deadshot, so here's my question to you guys. If it is Deadshot, what kind of accessories would you like him to have? Personally I would lik ehim to have a sniper rifle.

That's a nice little bonus. I didn't know if the cigar would ift either. I assumed it wouldn't.

Also, Legion19, I don't know about anyone else, but what else is Deadshot supposed to come with? :dunno

Extra guns to go in his holsters? He had four gun hosters so maybe thats what he'll come with.

He should come with his rifle, and then some handguns in his holsters. Even if they are moulded into the holster

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

I'm in a really bad mood, Character Options are stopping their 5" Doctor Who figure line, (which i've collected for years and invested ALOT in)
in favour of a new 3.75" line...(no previously made figure will be re-made in the new scale) it's completely ridiculous.
I'm now tempted to sell them all and use the money to complete my Arkham Collection.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

Ah, another DW collector. Yeah, the scale change will suck - I've also collected them for years - but I've gradually lost interest, partly because of no big releases and partly because the AC line is way better anyway. I'd love a scale change upwards to AC scale, because that's my favourite scale and NECA also make their figures in a similar scale. But as it is, I'm not too fussed or surprised because the line has been going down hill for a while.

I'd definitely sell to complete your Arkham collection. Just far better figures.

Well, CultofSkaro... I did have a feeling you may be a Who fan...;) haha

Saw this on the Fwoosh:

Nice display, where did you get the tiered stands from?

also my friend who owns a comic book store showed me this image he got the other day so people can pre-order the new wave.

Now they're really f'ing with us on that teaser :lol

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

Lol, how odd looking. Still, wouldn't be the first time they used CG images in place of real figures. I dunno how legit that picture is, but I'd be very happy if it was Strange in the final line-up.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

Thats the thing. It could easily be faked by that too. So take it with a grain of salt. Just yet another rumor. But is most like Deadshot/Calendar Man/Hugo Strange at this point :lol

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

Or Two Face. But probably not since Nightwing's in the wave, 'cause that'd make half the wave figures Mattel has already done.

If they combine deluxe with regular waves it could be Grundy. Major wishful thinking there.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

I have recently buy the arkham city wave 3, and i'm very disapointed with the painting on batman... i mean, the Arkham asylum wave 1 batman was amazing, the face/body paints are amazing... and the new one... is lame. and they don't longer come with stands (well, all the arkham city ones). Why they drop they quality?
anyway, also get mr. freeze and he is amazing, so many details! but he is expensive =/
the penguin is great too, but I think the best wave was the arkham assylum wave 1
