It always strikes me ironic that the people making these toys are terrible at posing them well for cons etc. I guess it's probably because alot of times they are production samples and delicate.

No, production samples are just like what we get. They are production pieces. Its the prototpes that are delicate. Often you can see them damaged at cons from everyone from Sideshow to Mattel. Shipping them there always has its risks and they don't always send their development teams with them to repair the protos (Sideshow does, but that doesn't mean they have the time to fix the damages
).
But yeah, I don't get why they suck at posing them either. Epecially PRE-posed figures like the DCD ones I mean, just line up the joints and you have the intended pose they were sculpted with! Its not that hard

Yea prototypes is what I meant, not samples.
But yea I imagine a good deal of preorders are detirmined from Toyfair and the like and you'd want your figures looking their best.

Just saw the new pics. Overall they look pretty good. Sucks that riddler still doesn't look to have his glasses which kind of sucks. Detective mode batman looks a lot better than expected which really makes me hope Wave 3 Batman turns out great too. Catwoman is ok. Not even sure a repaint can save that sculpt

Yeah, the fact Riddler doesn't have his glasses yet does bother me since they look like production samples. I would think if he was going to have them, he should have them by now. I don't know how DCD could overlook that though.

Riddler's Character trophy doesn't even have the bowler hat, just the sunglasses, and frankly I'd prefer them to the hat, they give him a differant newer and refreshing look.

I agree the figures in these new pictures look like production samples as opposed to prototypes, but they still look good to me. As always I'm sure they'll look much better in-hand too.
I'm still not too concerned about Riddler's glasses, they could still be added yet. Hatter hasn't been shown with any accessories at all but I'm sure he'll come with some.

Just seen some photos of wave 3 Batman, Azrael & Ras from Toy Fair.
They look great as expected - especially Ras! Can't wait to get him
Good to finally see a plain Batman too even though there's nothing new sculpt-wise. No doubt he'll come with a new accessory though.

Yeah, they look nice. I sure hope those three weren't the only new AC figures though. I'm really hoping for Grundy at least, but I'd settle for a line up of series 4 rightw now

figures.com and toynewsi.com only have TDKR and watchmen. so i donno where these pics can be found. unless you count placeholder art as figures

Wow those look great, new Batman looks awesome, Ra's turned out great, this will be the first full wave I buy since Arkham Asylum wave 1. Everything in it is solid.
It's even a cool repaint variant.
I'm not worried about new deluxe, we know they are coming and maybe they will have more rdy tommorow etc.

The Batman, Ras and Azrael all look very good. Batman is definitely updated from the original AA version.

Can't help thinking this wave is kind of bland. Azrael and Ras look good, but they're not really that stand-out for me. Then we've got an updated but a kinda-seen-it-before Batman, and the goons are alright but again, they're just goons. Penguin is really the only great figure, mainly because the character is just more iconic. Wave 2 has the iconic Riddler and Catwoman, as well as interesting figures like Hush and Mad Hatter. But this wave kind of lacks that balance.
I dunno. I'll likely buy all but the goon, but still. I suppose I'm just not that keen on the characters of this wave, except Penguin. That would explain a lot. Still, Freeze is a very exciting figure. Seems he'll be out on the 6th June, according to the card. Can't wait. Presumably Croc will be out on the same day, too.
