Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

I don't know about anyone else, but I would really dig a Jim Gordon.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

There are pretty much no signs of this ending given that they specifically said more figures were coming at their SDCC presentation.

Talk is cheap. We still haven't seen Grundy even though he is supposedly coming. I'll believe them when they show something.

Same here.

And maybe a batmobile from AA

A Batmobile isn't coming period. DCD has NEVER done vehicles for their figures. I don't get the love for it anyway. All it ever did was get blown up in AA :lol

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

No one else would want a BW figure? Hell, they could make it a con exclusive, and include a rooftop and armory base with a batsuit inside. :lol

They wouldn't specifically state that more were definitely coming if more weren't definitely coming. They'd just not mention the line at all. Don't be stupid here, man.

It's not being stupid. If you've collected action figures for any length of time, you'd see that in some cases you really can't trust what is said till you find the figure on the pegs. Even proto figure pics, teasers, company promises, etc can't be trusted.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

Apologies if this is a repost.

But here's a couple of pictures of the (fake) arkham city figure.

Fake as in this wasn't part of the actual series release. But then again, since all the figures are made in China.. It looks pretty decent from the pictures either ways.

Taken from taobao. Sort of a China ebay.
I might buy it just to see how it looks like. It cost about 172 renminbi. About $33 Singapore Dollars. About $27 USD.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

I know that there seems to be a few loose fake ones that are sold by HK and China sellers on eBay that doesn't come with their accessory parts. Namely Batman, Freeze (without helmet), cat woman (without the tri-ball whip thingy)

Well if we're going to be as stupid as to think like that, then we should all have been bricking it from the very first wave, if we can't trust anything companies say/announce/etc. Even if we see stuff at NYCC, and they say they're definitely releasing, we should still all freak out and assume that the line is ending. Infact, even though Croc and Freeze were released ages ago, I wouldn't be surprised if they were now cancelled as well!

Then again, you're only clever enough to realise everything is a lie if you've collected action figures for a long time. The rest of us are clearly not worthy of comprehending the truth, because obviously you're right in assuming that I have only been collecting figures for a couple of days.

Screw common sense! Screw the consistently high sales of this line, screw the clear intention of continuation, screw the fact that they've started including thugs to flesh out and prolong the line! I clearly know NOTHING about any of this compared to you and Buttmunch! They'll probably announce that their most profitable line is cancelled tomorrow.

If only I'd collected figures for longer, then I'd have been able to see this coming AND patronise others about it!

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

You clearly have never collected a line from Mattel. They lie to collectors constantly. I've become apprehensive of trusting other companies as a result. So even though they've said more is coming, their actions say otherwise. But I agree, the Thugs did seem to indicate an ''all in'' approch, but the fact we haven't seen another wave yet and this last wave is shipping seems like a step in the wrong direction.

I really, really, REALLY hope I'm wrong about the line ending, but I've seen this type of situation too many times before to think the line is continuing on blind faith.

BTW, that 'fake' Arkham Batman is a Detective Mode Batman from Arkham Asylum rather than Arkham City I believe. Fake or not, its a decent variant in that regard.

Hey, less ****ing each other, more pics!

Please. :monkey3

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

Wednesday! Why does nobody realize the new wave isn't offically out until then!?!? :lol Most of us here aren't the type to buy stuff that fell off the back of a truck. :tap

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

Here.

Doesn't look as good as it did, thought that might just be the lighting.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

Titan joker looks utterly p*ss poor.

Seriously, the spine is different to the image on the bo, the veins are almost the same colour as the body as opposed to the deep green on the promo pics/box picture, and there doesnt seem to be as much bloody damage on the left shoulder like thebox shows.

And has anyone mentioned how expensive he is?!

He did look REALLY good, even though I never liked the design that much.

Yeah, but didnt Detective mode batman look miles better than the end result? The electro gun was just a nightmare for the figure, totally changed how he would hold the gun;

You cant hold it like that, AND its a totally different hand, the right hand is the closed fist from the infected Batman in series 1.
