It looks great and if I had Green Lantern I'd get him too. I just wish these were $20 cheaper (and $40 cheaper at $90).

Actually, it is the slimmer teen body that debuted with Robin that was designed to be modular for slimmer adult characters as well.

But it's taller than the teen and the first time they used it like this was for Joker, right?

Andy B's sculpt of Sinestro rocks and really give the figure character....A sculpt Almost too good for D.C direct...:monkey3

Sure, the first adult to use that will be the Joker.

It was stated in interviews that the slimmer/teen body style was made to be adaptable to adult size hence the "modular" part in my previous post.

If Sinestro is on the Joker body does that mean we can anticipate a $90 price point as well????

With the recent price hike for this line, MSRP is around $90 for the standard figures with the GL set and the Spirit being around $100. You can find them a little cheaper online of course.

I agree Natrix...and I think this body was designed to have the four hands as opposed to the larger muscular body that they use the bendy hands for.

Any one get a chance to ask DCD about those bendy hands at NYCC?

It's the same hand connect as the bigger body. Looks like Sinnie has 3 sets - fists, bendies and the grasping sculpt - just like Robin.

I thought the Robin hands were like the female figs...fist, open and grasp...no bendies though.

My Robin open hands bend but they don't seem to have wires in them like the bigger body figs.

When has Sinestro ever had pointy ears? Isn't he the same race as Abin Sur? And it is an awesome sculpt - another Bergholtz original I believe.

Yeah, he is Sinestro not Spock.

I have to admit I'm no expert on the character, but he definitely didn't have pointy ears in any of the reference I was given.

Glad you all like him! That face was a blast to work on.

Don't get me wrong, I love the sculpt but I guess it depends on who draws him whether or not he gets the pointy ears. Here is a comic cover from way back when and Alex Ross' redo of it. I didn't feel like digging thru my GL comics to find more so I pulled these images off the web.

For some reason the pointy ears just stick in my mind as part of Sinestro's defining look.

I remembered him with pointy ears as well... but different artists will do different things.

The slimmer body looks pretty good... too bad they won't add better wrist articulation. Just being able to turn is pretty pathetic for a 1/6 figure.

The pointy ears was a silver age thing.....he was actually drawn without them for a good time being until of course Alex Ross shows up. He loves to tie stuff back to the Superfriend eras...you can't really count on him for anything current. Its obvious that its a Sinestro War version so the ears shouldn't be pointed.

Notice that the symbol on his chest is reversed when compared to the comic cover in the above post? Should be white on black!

Ah yes, the colors are. I thought you meant it was upside down or something at first. I stared at for a while wondering what the heck you were talking about till I noticed the color.:lol

Dang that's a fantastic sculpt.

:lol I did the same thing.

The sculpt is amazing. The costuming isn't too shabby either. I wonder if DCD will make another Hal Jordan green Lantern in his current costume if there producing Sinestro in his Sinestro Corp costume. It wouldn't break my heart if they did. Going by the photo's this might be the nicest figure in the line to date.
