DCD 13" Sinestro

Don't get me wrong, I love the sculpt but I guess it depends on who draws him whether or not he gets the pointy ears. Here is a comic cover from way back when and Alex Ross' redo of it. I didn't feel like digging thru my GL comics to find more so I pulled these images off the web.

For some reason the pointy ears just stick in my mind as part of Sinestro's defining look.

The Sinestro I remember was the one from Superfriends. Everyone knows that Superfriends is like the superhero bible for Alex Ross. The original Sinestro I believe had pointy ears.
Either way this is an excellent figure in my opinion and DC Direct just keeps getting better. I can't wait to see if they make a Darkseid or Kalibak figure.

As far as Sinestro's ears goes, it just depends on the artist.

Sinestro had both regular and pointy ears in the Corps War story.

Some depict him with pointing ears and some without. It's kind of like Batman's cape and ears. Some artist make Batman's cape look like it's 10 feet long while others have at a more "normal" length. Same goes for the ears on the cowl. Sometimes long, somtimes they're short.

Either way both are acceptable.
