Gave the co op a go. It's well done but something I wouln't play through until l finish the game on my own. It removes all tension IMO. So glad they didn't force it on the player though.

Halo we know is gonna go to the next Xbox. I hope DS does too.

Well I went ahead and got a new XBox. Ended up not being too bad...got $100 for my nonworking one plus some game trade ins and it only cost me around $60. 
Finally got to play the demo and I liked it...though damn if the necros weren't hard enough before - they are even more of a challenge in this game (at least for me
) There were a couple moments that made me jump...the new weapon system didn't really bother me..I like that you can make ammo, med kits, etc....but it will suck if you run out of ammo and are only getting materials from dead necros and are no where close to a work bench. Overall it seems like this is going to be a more challenging game. Bring it on, I say! Bring it on!

If any of you were planning to grab it, Amazon put up a $20 pre-order credit with it, which is really nice. Haven't seen one of those from them in ... nearly a year I think?
I grabbed it for PC since that's where most of my buddies are getting it.

lmfao I was playing DS2 last night and got spooked BIG TIME in one of the first bits in the hospital ward when the sprinklers suddenly come on like 'PSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!' I must have jumped about a foot!

LOL, yeah, I played Chpt 1 last night too, and damn! Game is very atmospheric...I love it.....what a great opening 'moment' to with the nurse dude turning into a Necro! Good stuff

Hilarious I'm stoked and can't wait for 3s release hopefully it holds its quality as the first and second one. I can't wait! I'll probably be getting the KOTOBUKIYA piece they are making for this title. It would be my first game piece. But then that means I'll have to get other game statue so Issac won't be lonely.
I am surprised at how much I am looking forward to DS3.....I hated the first one when it came out, but mostly cause I prejudged it in the beginning but grew on me.....2nd one just plain rocks

I just rename there being such slim pickings for horror games this gen so I was paying close attention to the development of the first dead space and I was dubious coz many have tried but most don't go scary enough. Love dead space one and two and pumped for three!

Same here......bruce, you ever play the original Silent Hill? If you have a PS3, its on PSN for cheap. Way dated looking, but still great if you can get past the PS1 era graphics

I have mate yeah, funny you should ask I was cleaning out the garage today and opened up a box with my copy of Silent Hill in there and I glanced at it. Silent Hill 2 is in my top 5 games of all time man, that game is incredible.

I was wary about this being more action focused like a lot of fans but after playing the demo I'm pleased to say I really enjoyed it. It's clear that those jump out moments are still there and I'd imagine once it gets to the darker areas that sense of dread will be present again from past games. The enemies having guns wasn't as off putting as I thought it would be.
Being in the snow on this game was reminding me of the thing and that's always a good thing.
The way the demo ended was frustrating as well , they picked the perfect moment to make me want to buy this.
