Interesting. I'm playing 2 again right now and will try the DLC when I'm done.

I thought the DLC was pretty dang good. It is a sort of sequal to Dead Space : Extraction, which was a prequel to (that came out after) the original Dead Space. It was on the Wii but later was inculded with the PS3 version of DS2. Not sure if it ever made it to the 360 though.

So, Dead Space 3 demo.

Who thought giving the enemies guns was a good idea? It's not what Dead Space is about, and it feels as if it's just trying to be action-y and ends up feeling quite generic.

I think armed Unitologists are very appropriate....we hear about the fantatics in game 1, we hear about more of them in game 2, but we've never really seen the supporters - just the occasional looney believer, so to me, finally seeing more than one or two at a time fits into the story very well....doesn't bother me, cause the necromorphs are very well represented in the demo. As for my demo experience: I am very much enjoying it......still feels like Dead Space to me; my one concern was same ammo for everything, but I am over it.

For those that dig tie ins, I highly recommend the novel Martyr by B.K. Evenson - covers the true origin of Unitology and founder Altman. 2nd book, Catalyst just hit

I dont mind the Unitologists with guns. Works with the story but I dont care for the necros with guns. I was like really were going there? Also the generic ammo for all guns is lame as is just two weapons. But then again the combinations you can make with the bench where quite impressive. I think the game will deliver though.

Wow, so not only will this be extremely limited, but each one will be individually numbered as well?!

EA- "Only 5,000 Dev-Team Editions were made, total. Each tin crate comes with a metal plate with that edition's number stamped into it."

Developer edition is now sold out as of last night.

Finished DS2. I personally found this game more frightening than 1. And I still hate those damn necromorphs that regenerate. Such a pain. I also found game 2 more difficult than 1. Especially there at the end when they just keep coming from everywhere. Glad I played it again...it really is a great game.

Also played the DLC - really liked that as well - but damn what a sad ending. I had hoped the guy would be able to escape with his wife....well at least she escaped....though who knows for how long...she's a hunted woman.

Also watched the animated movie - Dead Space Aftermath. That was pretty good too and it was nice to get some back story for Nolan Stross.

I am officially ready for DS3. :)

Yeah me too mate, I started it again the other night but I'm also trying to crack lvl 60 Pioneer in Halo 4 and I keep getting sidetracked :rotfl I sit down and say to myself 'I'll just have a game of Halo and then do some DS2'

4 hours later...

Still playing H4.

That's how it goes with MP; its addicting......I've put down Halo myself, but Borderlands and now Dead Space is keeping me company

Save me a co-op game in DS3, Bruce!

So yea that demo. Things I liked are : The visuals are stunning, great lighting, snow effects and character models, Shooting still feels great and I think the gameplay feels a bit more varied. Things I didn't like: The new craft a weapon system. Not interested in doing that, this isn't an RPG. Enemies with guns. Laaame.

Overall it was good but I can't help but feel its lost its horror edge a bit. Haven't tried to co-op yet.
