did anyone get the limited edition kit from EA's site? if so, what are your thoughts on it?

I wish I would have, but I'm happy with the Art of Dead Space book that I got for free.

I got it, and I'm happy with it. Nice packaging, nice mix of stuff (especially liked the lithograph, Ishimura patch, and getting the Downfall movie a couple weeks early).

Not bad. Animation sorta similar in style to Aeon Flux. Story was ok, but since it covers the time between the death of the colony and Isaac and pals arriving on the Ishimura, there isn't a lot of suspense regarding who's going to survive (or not)

It does give some further fuel for conjecture re: the true nature of the Marker (can't say if that ties into the game's later parts, on level 5 at the moment and avoiding spoilers)

true.....i have a couple of these being shipped to me and was going to sell both but now i'm thinking i'll sell one and keep the other one.

Got the game this week, and I have to say, it's really good. Gameplay is so fun, you never know when something will happen so you're always on edge. Especially with the limited ammo you can get really worried about running into something.

I got this for PC and I have to say this is probably the best PC port I've played. Most games from Xbox 360/PS3 end up running horrible when they are put on PC, which is ridiculous because really my PC is at least twice the power of the consoles so it shouldn't have any problems. Luckily with this it runs perfectly with the high PC resolution with all settings on Max, no problems at all with how it runs. The only thing though is that the default PC controls suck really bad, I don't know what's up with the mouse but it's almost unusable, but it supports the Xbox 360 controller so I'm playing it with that and it's fine.

did you download the free level 5 "elite suit" from xbox live? i'm not sure it is still available though if you didn't.

It's kind of weird, but as a horror game I kinda want it to end quickly, but I still like playing the game a lot.

No, if you switch difficulty you lose all your gear and have to start over.


And the game has 12 chapters.
