This argument has never made any sense. You presume that every got the $250 when it's probably a small fraction. Most people don't have the time to stay up 24/7 to collect reward points for statues. Connecting higher prices with rewards given out makes even less sense. In the Harbottle (SP?) post he clearly lays out why they priced it that way and rewards had nothing to do with it.
Actually Greg the CEO mentioned promotions ( such as pricing promotions ie coupons) are one of the many factors that go into it. So again, you are wrong.
