It could work, Deadpool doesn't need toilet quality humor, and anyone who says it does doesn't know jack **** about Deadpool

BUT, it would be incredibly redundant as EVERYBODY in the MCU is a walking self-referencing quipfest, all DP would add is the occasional wink at the audience.

But since Disney is buying Fox, it's only a matter of time.

Good thing is, he would be used as-is in the MCU and that in itself could be a joke, like, same actor, even same costume.

I guess they can make DP more of a wiseguy in the MCU and less cursing but who knows, doesn’t Reynolds have full control. If he is in the MCU, he would have to give up some control to Feige :dunno

Oh my god, I remember this being less cancerous.

But that entire show was crap, even MCU dialogue isn't THAT bad.

Simple it wasn’t made for us ..the purpose of this show was strictly for kids who liked spider-man and Disney.

Depends on the films. IM, Avengers, Spidey were great..even Ant man..but Thor and Hulk are garbage

They're 16 films in. Only 3 of those films I can say with a straight face were truly great, and two that were pretty good. Those stats aren't impressive, man. That's over TEN mediocre to bad films.

Ragnarok in particular I think is important because it's very entertaining and funny but literally sets out to bash it's own formula. When you're not even 10 years into your franchise and you're already making fun of yourself, you're basically conceding that your product isn't very intelligent. You're basically saying you have no desire to aspire to anything greater because you just don't have it in you.

Deadpool & Logan, both brilliant films in their respective genres, aim to critique and elevate the material despite said material belonging to a now 17-year-old franchise. New Mutants & X-Force are also setting out to find new life in other genres to take the CBM in.

Ragnarok confirms what I've been saying since AOU: that the MCU is creatively bankrupt. Whether it was a planned artistic death at Feige's hands or just something that happened accidentally due to Feige micromanaging directors, it doesn't change the fact that the franchise is now 100% unconcerned with being transcendent in the genre and is basically content with being the McDonald's of CBM filmmaking.

Doesn’t mean it should be complete **** tho. The show was absolutely horrendous and seemed like it insulted its audience by how **** it was.

Can't wait to see Deadpool hack the nipples off someone's *** and re-enact Luke's now iconic milk scene.

It made nearly a billion... maybe they'll leave the door open to it. In the end, they want money. As long as it's up front with what it is, it'll be fine. Plenty of stupid hockey moms took their kids to see the first one and complained.
