IllJedi ... I gave the example of Cleveland. You put Garnett on that team and they instantly become the best team in the East. Take any team with 40 or more wins this year and improve two positions. Now you turn them into a team that can win at least ten more games.
If KG played for the Lakers, Kobe would not have to be the one man show he so often is. That would be better for the team, however, the worshippers who kneel at the altar of Kobe would see his PPG average drop by at least 5. Give the Lakers a great point gaurd like Steve Nash and Kobe suddenly does not handle the ball half as much which takes away from his opportunity to shine. The old Chinese saying - "be careful what you wish for - you may get it". Could well apply here.
Look at Lakers history. When Wilt Chamberlain played for the Lakers he played with Jerry West and Elgin Baylor. Wilts production went down as he had to share everything with equally talented players. Kobe just would not be the second coming of Christ if you put him on a team with KG and a great point gaurd.
But the team would be better.

I dont think half the league would be as close to being the serious powerhouse LA or Cleveland would be if they simply added Garnett.
I know I'm biased but I think LA + Garnett would be alot more lethal than Cleveland plus Garnett.
I dont think Kobe wants to be the one man show all the time anyway.. With Garnett he can focus more on defending and when he's hot on offense, you always go w/ the hot hand..

Maybe you Lakers worshippers have a point here. If Bryant had a good center in the middle who could take pressure off him and get some rebounds maybe the Lakers would be a better team. Maybe they could win more games. Maybe they could even win a championship.
Wait a minute!!!! They had just that. And what did Bryant do about that one? Bryant is not a selfish one man show? Gimme a break.
And tonight Mr. Team Play can do it again and score his 40+ points. And his team can lose yet again. Well, look at the bright side. In another week Mr. Bryant can go out to that Colorado resort and romance the employees. And those reports said he was even selfish in that department too.

The only big man the Suns have is Stoudemire, who is really a Forward.. And that nameless bald white guy on the bench.. That front court may easily be exposed.. Even by the likes of Kwame Brown sir..:emperor

Beautiful game - Phoenix clicking on all cylinders was a thing of beauty to watch. That first half was perfection. Did you catch the comments from Bryant after the game? He said something like "we don't have the best talent in the league". If you are a teammate of his you have to resent that. Miami also looks like they are done. With both Shaq and Bryant heading to an early playoff grave all my BB dreams are coming true.
