This thread just reminded me that I used to collect basketball cards (and some baseball and football) back in the early 90's. I forgot all about that! :lol :lol Somewhere in my storage unit is a box with probably around 5000 cards. :google

Ive got a couple of steve nash cards with the jersey swatches inside. I thought those were pretty cool.

All the first round draft picks I think from 90/91 (no one big came out that year though if I remember correctly.....but I haven't looked at them in years and can't remember who was drafted...I think someone with the last name Coleman was the number one pick....it's been a long time since I followed basketball :lol) Do have some of Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Gary Payton (with the Sonics). Isaiah Thomas, David Robinson, Karl ...spacing his name...from The Jazz.......I think I have a complete collection for the 90/91 year....I really need to find that box and look through them. :lol Now I am curious to see what I have. Then I collected randomly until 93. Mostly Skybox, Topps, Fleer, NBA Hoops.
I have a Nolan Ryan baseball card....but that's the only name I recognize...(from baseball):lol And the football players...I have no idea who they are.
I no longer watch sports...can you tell. :lol

Just realized my Gary Payton card is his rookie card....cool. :)

I was looking on ebay to see what the value of some of these cards are....they vary from 99 cents to 4.99!! Woooohoooo...if I sold them I'd be RICH!!! :lol :lol :lol

:lol Yeah, they're not woth alot them from the end of the '80's and start of the '90's. The priciest card i have is '96-'97 Topps Chrome Kobe Bryant rookie card. It's worth between $250-300 as it is, $325 graded Mint and $600-700 graded Gem Mint. Mine would end up as one of those if i had it graded.

yeah I think I could get more for them if i took them to a recycling center. :monkey4

I think my most valuable card is a 95 Jordan Topps finest refractor. Not sure what it is worth now. I also have a Jerry Rice rookie card that is probably worth around $100.00. If it was graded gem mint I think it would be worth like $5000.00 or something.

Ugghhh I have a ton of late 70's, 80's, and very early 90's baseball cards. I haven't thought about them for a long time lol. I would guess the boxes they are in are probably more valuable than them. :lol

While trying to find some of my old cards, I found this guy:

The Spurs scored 5 points in the first quarter and are up 57-48 going into the fourth. Thank god they are playing Atlanta tonight.:lol:lol:lol

5 points in a quarter?.. Wow.. Spurs seem to be deteriorating just like SHaq and Phoenix.. I predict a 16 game winning streak for the Lakers going into New Orleans.. We look unbeatable like Jordan's Bulls did when they steam-rolled the league.. Scarey thing is we will only get better when our starting center returns..

Shaq trade is looking terrible too by the way.. What an A hole he is trying to take credit for Amare's monster play of late.. His game has dropped but his ego certainly hasn't.

I don't think the Spurs are deteriorating. It was just one of those things where they couldn't hit a shot. They looked fine after the first. They play Dallas on Thursday. If they get blown out in that game, then I will say they are deteriorating.

You know they've only played 3 games together right, against Lakers, Celtics and Pistons. That's not alot of time or an easy way for everybody to incorporate a new star player. Especially when they all hve to change there style of play a bit. It's not something that get's doneover night. But ofcourse, it's easier for Shaq haters to just blame Shaq for everything no matter what. I bet you wern't hating when he brought 3 straight championships to LA. It doesn't matter that against the Pistons, nobody rebounded except for Shaq (Barbossa had the second most with 4) or that Grant Hill was 0-6 with 1 stl. and 3 reb. or that the Pistons was just on fire the entire game, both offencesively and defensively. IT WAS ALL SHAQ'S FAULT!!! I still have every confidence that the Suns will get better very soon and will take back 1st place and hopefully a championship.
