You know they've only played 3 games together right, against Lakers, Celtics and Pistons. That's not alot of time or an easy way for everybody to incorporate a new star player. Especially when they all hve to change there style of play a bit. It's not something that get's doneover night. But ofcourse, it's easier for Shaq haters to just blame Shaq for everything no matter what. I bet you wern't hating when he brought 3 straight championships to LA. It doesn't matter that against the Pistons, nobody rebounded except for Shaq (Barbossa had the second most with 4) or that Grant Hill was 0-6 with 1 stl. and 3 reb. or that the Pistons was just on fire the entire game, both offencesively and defensively. IT WAS ALL SHAQ'S FAULT!!! I still have every confidence that the Suns will get better very soon and will take back 1st place and hopefully a championship.

I don't think much of it IronFingaz. That's just how LA fans roll. They'd probably be saying the same stuff about Kobe if he had been traded away this season.

It does take time for a new player to adjust to a new team. Especially when there is no training camp or preseason to help with that transition. However, in the case of Oneal the player that I saw on Sunday was a liability on the court and not an asset. His game is the opposite of the game that made Phoenix a great team and the best team in basketball last year despite who was selected for the trophy. He was slow, frequently out of position, not involved in the natural flow at all, and made no contribution of any kind.

Everybody has a bad game. I remember when Larry Bird was something like 0 for 9 in field goal attempts in a game but led his team in both rebounds and assists and helped them to a win. Great players can do other things if one aspect of their game is off. Shaq simply does not have it anymore.

And regarding his years with the Lakers - I did not like him then either so I am consistent. I am glad to see the leagues ref finally enforce the rules that everybody else has to play by. Its too bad it happened with a great team like the Suns but nobody put a gun to their head to make this stupid deal. If the rules had been enforced against Oneal all these years you can take 5 points per game and three boards off his career average.

I admit I am a Shaq hater.. Pho fans will be too by the time he is done w/ you guys.. The guy is a jerk..

And I'm sorry to tell you that he looks awfull no matter the excuse is.. This just coming from a guy who knows what he can do and has been watching what he has been doing all year.. If you look at his stats over the last 4 years you will see significant drop off each and every year leading to this carreer low year he is having..

I'll mention again that he is an idiot for taking credit for Amre becoming a better player.. They could have put Kwame Brown at center and Amare would had flourished at power forward.

Shaq is a slow slug.. Sure he is big and strong.. But in terms of acute basketball skills, those are gone.. Enjoy the rest of the season looking up at the Lakers in the standings for the remainder of the season..

This is true.. But that takes practice to improve that and Shaq never liked to do that..

With that said he has put up blah numbers.. I hope Phoenix drops to the 8 seed so we can spank them first round.

The 40 million dollar man isn't even the third best player on that team. Nash, Amare and Barbosa anyone in their right mind would take ahead of him on their team. Was that what Kerr was looking for with this trade?.. Marion was much more productive and active defensively than Shaq. Its almost comical seeing him try and hustle..
