well, If we are not supposed to believe the Mayans and their prophecy why are we supposed to believe the prophesies in the bible? that's something I've always wondered about. I believe in Jesus but not in the Apocalypse. They don't know what they were talking about.

no what I Was saying is that I don't believe everything in the bible is true or the word of God. It was written by men who had their own intentions. Besides there are entire chapters of the bible that were lost or the church destroyed, which makes you wonder what were they trying to hide.

Also I do not believe in the church for that matter, the bible never talks about a Pope yet there is one. There is a lot about the church and the bible I simply do not believe or follow. When it comes down to it, it is people with their own intentions and beliefs that wrote this and that created the church.
But that doesn't mean I don't believe in God or in Jesus. What I was saying is that the Mayan prophecy is as looney as some of the stuff in the bible. People make fun of one but believe the other.

yes but, He was not the only Prophet to have come to Earth, there were others. He had a message of love and acceptance which I agree with. which is everything that the church is against.

No, seriously, Jesus's message involved a lot more than loving your neighbor. I'm pretty sure you don't get Jesus without apocalypse. Son of God died for your sins so that one the day of final judgement, those accept him as their Lord and Savior will be able to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. That's not Catholicism (the Church). That's Chrstianity across the board.

The Bible was written by chosen men who were then inspired by God to write it.God literally spoke supernaturally to those Authors....if Men wrote the Bible on their own terms(without God's help) then it would of been written to suits Man's needs and would only just glorify men and not God.....so, there was no way MEN could of written the Bible on their own,because the Bible (all 66 books) completely glorifies the one True God....

also,The Bible does indeed mention Rome,Rev 17 'Mystery Babylon' (which is related to the Pope,who is the ruler of the world and a FALSE Christ) as All roads lead to Rome

How do you know what he said if you don't believe the New Testament? It is the only source of his teachings.
