i think its gonna restrict the number of pieces people actually buy in the long run. i myself was interested in collecting comiquettes and premium formats, but in some cases... the comiquette doesnt seem worth it, or vice versa. IE-She Hulk Comiquette versus the PF. More disappointed in the acutal piece. I dont intend to cancel my previous orders, but with this non-refundable business... it cheapens business and makes me more anxious to change my mind. i dont know, maybe its reverse psychology.

This was coming at some point. I like it and I don't like it, but I think at the end of the day it is the best thing to do.
:goodpost: :exactly:
Agree 100%. This will hopefully deal with flipper complaints, ES complaints, etc. Now they just need to start making all preorders TBD and fix their QC.

Like I said more clarification is needed but the perks of ordering via Sideshow are starting to dwindle...I get the same from some really good ADs in terms of customer service and have to pay a deposit there anyway....some Exs are also not at all worth it IMHO
I have stopped the chain preordering of EXs that I used to do, so it doesn't bother me that much either. At the moment, I have more things on preorder from Alter Ego than I do from Sideshow.

The only thing that worries me is if their quality control is...lacking on an object and we are really unhappy when we get it in hand, do we still lose the 10%?

i dont like the fact that SS can drop off in the QC department even more now than ever and they still get money, and we lose money. That was one of the great things about SS, was the ability to have so much felxibility with an order. i actually see sells dropping off for them because of this..........a lot of sells actually, and we all know how bad the QC issues can be for them. If they dont want product sitting on their shelves for so long, how about dropping the ES?

I'm all for it, except in the cases as Nam mentioned.

Kinda ____ed up if the production piece's quality doesn't match the prototype's.

And not that ES means much to me, BUT I like the idea of them saying "This is the price. This is the ES. This is the amount you put down."

sounds good to me, though i wonder if this is going to be standard policy or is this just for this particular piece.

It will probably become the standard. I just hope we get a full refund if we return the item. I'd hate to lose 10% because an item got damaged or I wasnt happy with the production run.

YES, Once it is delivered to you, if you dont like it and return it, you get all of your money back minus shipping to and from Sideshow. It better be kick ass or mine is going back. I can damn near buy another girlfriend for 1200.00. just kidding.

I'd rather have the shipping date upfront than anything else

I dont mind it but my only beef is that their shipping timeframes are never accurate. You order months in advance, there always months in delay, it really is hard to anticipate what your expenses will be for any given month. Iv had months were three items were due at once but I ordered each of them several months apart. They need to clean up the shipping schedule if they want to charge non refundalbe deposits.

with the lake of QC and great SS peices I could care less. This is actually about 5 yrs too late (when SS pieces were awesome and had great QC)

I don't like it.

Photos of items are posted 1 day before Sideshow puts it up for ordering. You don't have much time to decide if you should order it and work it into your budget. So many marvel pieces coming, it is hard not to have a change of mind later on. Also the delivery of the item is months away and it is hard to tell how your financial situation will be then. Maybe in 5 months something happens or you have too many statues on order, and you have to cancel one or two of them. Then you lose money!

I think it's totally worth it if they're going to announce ES from now on ahead of time.
