Alot of Dexter's strength from season to season is determined by who hes pitted against. I have a feeling this season will be a huge rebound for Dexter.

Even if we do get a villain in the same league as Trinity and Ice truck( I won't hold my breath), Dexter could still be written baldy in his actions, ____ me he was a complete idiot last season! Dexter's cleverness is an important part of the character and I feel it has really diminished, ya some would argue they had to make him ____ up so deb would catch him but still Killing a guy at a location his sister knew he would be at!..

looks like Deb helps Dex burn down the church to hide the evidence. . . but then, in an earlier frame, Deb's giving an interview 'on location' in front of the church that looks to be not burned down, so I'm not sure the sequence of events, but there's also a shot of the squad in a burned out building
