Wait until season 7 air before buying last season.
I loved the first two seasons of The Sopranos, and kept watched as the show became less with each passing season. I stopped buying the box sets waiting to see if the show ever came back to old form, which it didn't.
Back to Dexter - Deb has been a character that tries my patience more with each season. I think she will probably die this season. Dexter has Clark Kent's luck - every time someone learns his secret something happens to them to make them go away. Knowing that Michael C Hall's marriage with Carpenter fell apart makes me think he might have an added incentive to have Deb written off the show.
The worst mistake this show made was killing off Dokes. Dex needed a credible foil.

thinking that way, and thinking how crappy season 6 was,
I can predict one thing maybe,
Deb dies in the hands of the villain in this season, not in the Hands of Dexter, and in a twist of Faith Deb dies either Protecting Dexter or His son
and Deb will die in Dexter's arms, bleeding, while Dexter says "it's okay it's going to be okay help is on the way"
then we will have a Dexter monologue on how every single time someone finds out about his "dark Passenger" they end up dead,
I mean, seriously, that is so horribly cliche and soap opera, that, I Would not be surprised if it ends that way,
the season might be good, but, think about it, there is a change that is exactly the ending we will have for season 7,
I hope to be wrong, but, how else would you end it, specially when what you said is very true,
unless Dexter Kills Debra himself, which, I do not see the writers doing, since he is "America's favorite Killer"
Before the season starts, does anybody know the status of 1/6 figures? I thought I read somewhere Triad Toys had the license and was going to produce a 1/6 figure. I guess we'll never see the Miami Metro cast in 1/6th scale at this rate. Has anybody made any custom cast members sculpts available in 1/6, besides the custom Dexters? On the outside chance someone has a painted T****r version or other head for sale, please pm me. Hopefully the writers and producer brought their A game for this season, and are able to build a good story line that arcs into the final season.
I stopped caring a while ago, there were never any news or anything regarding the figure,
my Guess is that the show will end in its 8 season and we still won't know anything about the figures, they might not even ever be release,
