Well season 7 has just finished on UK TV and I have to say disappointed is an understatement.
What happened to the Dexter that was one step ahead of everybody? He's now a bumbling loved up idiot who seems to get by on pure blind luck. The love story was contrived, and unbelievable, Ray Stevenson was really good in the role of the villain, but was wasted by a script that seemed to be made up as the show went along. The regulars acted out of character including Dexter, who is now as unlikeable as the people he puts on his table. I'm not really sure if I am looking forward to the final season as I really couldn't care less what happens to any of them now.
It's not many shows that annoy me like this, but Dexter was such a great show, even season 5 had some good moments. I thought the only way was up after season 6, I was wrong.
