That pen that Saxon stabbed Dexter with was the same pen the writers used to write the ending.

Again, it misses the heart.

Just checking. There was another I had just read by the former showrunner where he explained how he would have ended it.

His version of the final scene was Dexter strapped to an execution table about to get lethal injection, and in the observation room are all of Dex's victims since the show began watching him die.

I think it's because the whole show is over anyways. Andrea died early in the show.

I'm assuming Dexter had to fake his own death to get away with dumping his sister in the ocean and killing Oliver Saxon/Daniel Vogel. Let's face it.. the tapes clearly show he intended to kill Saxon.. and there must be security monitoring the hospital.. He knew that, so he had to fake his death to avoid prison.

I watched the last scene of Season 4 with Trinity and a lot more made sense.. but it still sucked gorilla ****.

These writers have to stop making these "Choose your own interpretation" endings.. They really blow.

Probably because Jennifer Carpenter stopped playing Deb about three seasons ago.
