Want to see a show with Michael C Hall that knew how to end it? Watch Six Feet Under. Brilliant all the way to the final moments.

Except the show was about a serial killer who kills bad people, and plays a wolf in sheep's clothing. Not about love or feelings. Which is why, ultimately, the last 4 seasons of the show sucked. They missed the point of the show, and never added anything new to it.

Probably because they couldn't.

I have to admit if they wanted to they could easily have Dexter return in another film to help say Hannah and Harrison(I'm sure he tries to at least find out about them). With the right writers/direction they could make a film(even theater wise) or a good miniseries. I'm rather hopeful. It would IMHO make money in the box office if done right. Dexter doesn't cost that much to make. Fingers crossed

They can do a show about Harrison growing up. Motivated by his father's disappearance at sea he goes to school to become a meteorologist and has many wacky adventures. Hilarity ensues.

well it was kind of ok ... predictable .. at one point he wanted to feel like a normal human... and he thought he broke through finally and feel normal .. then Deb dies and he realized all people he tried to care for died around him ...

..so the only two people left he cared for are Harrison and Hannah .. so before hurting them as well.. he chose the exile and got back to his true self.. its ok for me.

I think it would be kind of better if he chose the suicidal to drown together with Deb .. but well...

I can believe Dexter wanting to have feelings. I can believe Dexter starting to become a real boy.

I don' even hate the idea of Deb in love with her brother because that has happened in real life. So it is not even that far fetched.

What I cannot accept is the brain surgeon being the biggest bad Dexter had to face.
What I cannot accept is Vogel being the creator of the Code and making Harry seem like a clueless moron.

What I cannot accept is Hannah being the one that awaken Dexter to his feelings and made him a human. I cannot accept Harrison, he was too awful.

I cannot accept Masuka's Daughter. I cannot accept Brain Surgeon getting away so easily.

Dexter having real feelings. Fine by me. Dexter becoming Wolverine.... F____ THAT S________

I don't think there will be a spinoff, I think that based on the reaction the final season got, Showtime wouldn't want to take the gamble.

I mean, I'm still trying to understand how this last season could be so horrible. Say what you will about last season, but at least it had a solid final episode.

For a show that got this popular, you'd think they'd have spent more time/money on it to ensure quality. Old photographs on the show look like they were taken yesterday on a new digital camera...CG Hurricane fails...rubber babies....CGI snakes...horrible stunt doubles....horrible fake websites/PC programs. Just all around cheap crappy props.

Then, who the hell checked for plot holes and inconsistencies? When you establish that Dexter is a "neat monster" and adheres to a strict code, you can't just have him kill innocent people with no explanation as to how he excuses himself and you can't have him getting sloppy while tracking people (standing in windows in plain sight, parking right next to the victim, getting caught on camera, etc)

Dexter was great for the first 2 seasons, it lost it's way in Season 3 and then came back to redeem itself in Season 4. It became a show riddled with rookie mistakes and bad writing.

Also, since people mentioned Debra's character earlier..... The stupid writers saw that Debra was gaining a cult following for her cursing and Masuka for his creepy sexual comments, so they just decided to go completely over-the-top with it and make that their prime focus on those characters. They made you start to like Batista and Quinn only to make them useless background characters by the end.

They could've had Hannah try to kill Dexter this season and have Lumen come back and kill Hannah, I mean they left the door open for something like that. It would've been a better ending than what we got.
