All I'm hoping is that Trinity lasts till the end of episode 12.
I don't want another Miguel Prado ending. Even though that was a surprise, it made episode 12 of season 3 a bit anti-climatic

There are just so many ways this season can end, I'm really looking forward to seeing how things turn out.

There's every possibility that Deb's investigation will converge with Dexter's stalking of Arthur, and I can just imagine a scene with Deb walking in on Dexter as he plunges the knife into Arthur's chest. The fallout from that one witnessed act would create more than enough drama for next season.

I also expect at least one cop to die, although I'm not convinced it will be Quinn. He's too interesting as a potential foil for Dexter (ala Doakes) that it would be a waste to kill him off so soon. Plus, despite his faults, he's actually a pretty good partner for Deb. And besides, I enjoy seeing Satan's Ferryman from Ghost Ship having steady employment. :D

So my money's on either Laguerta or Angel at this point, if only to wrap up the office romance mini-arc.

As for the neighbour/Rita situation, at the very least it paints Rita in a different light - she's no longer the perfect suburban housewife. Whether Dexter confronts her about this or files it away for future use remains to be seen.

This episode was ace next week looks even better shame there are only 2 left this season.

For me this is the best season yet anyone agree?

For me, I still like the second season the best. But this season has been vastly superior to season three and better than the first season. Depending on the end, season four could be on par with season two for me.

It seems like this season has been a very slow build. Maybe it's because the past 3 seasons I've watched without breaks on DVD

Yeah, I watched the previous three seasons on DVD or On Demand, so there was no excrutiating wait between episodes for me. However, I do like the slow build between episodes of this season (unlike season three, which seemed to drag on for me). I like how why didn't know that the Trinity killer was actually a Quartet Killer until late in the season.

good question.

This episode ruled. I can't wait for the next two...there's so much going on. It'll be crazy to see how it all works out.

I'm finally starting to like Deb more than ever this season. She finally seems like shes getting her ???? together. I wonder who's going to pull a gun on her though...maybe that reporters mom or one of Harry's old girlfriends.

I think that may be one of the red herrings that the show puts out. If I remember correctly, the previews show someone grabbing a gun, and Deb yelling "No don't!". I wonder if Christine takes her own life in an attempt to protect her father...

Any guesses on what the "season's biggest twist" is??

Deb finding out Dexter is a killer??
Christine being Arthur and Vera's daughter??
Arthur killed his family??

I honestly have no clue. But I think I can debunk the twist having to do with Arthur having a kid with Vera...he was only ten years old when she died.

Christine is definitely a loose end. All I can think of is maybe he was trying to recreate his childhood family and failed the first time around.

Maybe he see's his daughter as vera...so he locks her up to keep her safe. and maybe he see's his son as himself..that's why he judges him so harshly.

Welll, my train of thought was that we only know what Arthur told us, and he's a serial killer. He's crazy. He broke his son's finger because he smashed the car. So I don't think it's out of the realm of plausibility that maybe Vera's still alive, and he just made up the story.

There's no reason to trust what he says. Who knows whose ashes are in the urn. Perhaps Vera felt ashamed of what they'd done, and rejected Arthur and he killed her in the bathtub. He killed his father, he might've pushed his mother off a building.

I have to assume the twist concerns Arthur and his family. Christine mentioned other children. Arthur must be in his 60s, his wife looks 40s, their kids are teenagers. He must have other children all across the country.

I started reading the books, and my local library only had the most recent book, so I'm reading them out of order. All I'll say is that you've touched on something...

Yeah, I know what you're talking about. I know the climax of the first book varies greatly from the first season, but it seems like they took the premise of the first book and deviated from there. They haven't followed much of the second and third books.

That's a good point about Arthur being an unreliable narrator. He claims that Vera slipped in the shower and died on broken glass - but all the murders have been bathtubs without showers and him climbing in and holding the dying victim isn't in his story either.

Yeah, and whats with the Mirror that he holds up to the victims face? He was doing the same thing to his wife.

I think it's safe to assume that he is a raving wackjob. He kidnapped the kid and pretended to be his father to himself....crazy. Dexter said that the kid preceded his cycles, so does that mean that he is planning another cycle in Miami???

But Dexter (Kyle) has interrupted the cycle and things must be returned to equilibrium before the cycle can continue. So normally he'd probably get another boy next - but he has to deal with "Kyle" first.

I think knowing the answer to dexter's Identity will then lead to the next boy in the cycle...being cody.

John Lithgow scares me.

And me.

JL is awesome. he can be to the nth degree of funny or evil. not all actors can do that but he does it quite well.
