No, I just never felt any tension or was surprised/shocked by anything that happened.
The 'tension' was the WHOLE season, the finale was the exhale to Dex's holding his breath the entire time! Seeing Doakes get blown up was awesome and I thought it was great the way Dex did Lyla at the end. :clap I think I loved this season just as much as the first, can't wait for season 3, it's gonna be great!

P.S. I really hope Michael C. Hall wins an emmy for this, he really deserves it! :rock

I see your point and agree with you about the tension of the season but the advertising of the finale sounded like there was a build up to some shocking events which didn't happen.

When the drug dealers captured Doakes, I thought - "well, that's one way to get Dexter out of his predicament, but it's kind of cheesy". But they didn't go that route and having Dexter save him was great. I think the ending was earned and well setup and I love that Lyla didn't get away from it. Definitely a great season and I'm looking forward to the promised "new rules" next season.

It was an interesting season finale. I'm just glad we weren't cheated out of closure from the Lila situation. Now, I'm just worried about the writer's strike and next season. I believe they start production sometime during or after February for the next season.

I really liked this season just as much as the last. The one thing that I was a little disappointed in was they took alot of the focus away from Dexter's actual job. He was able to be away from work so much, and there was hardly any real blood splatter work like it was last season.

The scene where Doakes draws his gun on Dexter as Dexter is loading body parts onto the boat was one of the most surprising tv moments for me ever. It really caught me off guard.

I can't wait to see what happens on Season 3.

.....can you tell I'm a fan?:lol

Thanks Dave & Ill Jedi :D

It's a generic BBI head that I've reworked/resculpted. I do alot of that. I sculpted different hair and reworked some of the facial features.

I'm going to work on another one and fine tune it to get it more accurate & see about getting it casted sometime down the line. This one is just my first effort.

I've been avoiding this thread until I watched the last episode. It was pretty good. I liked the way they tied all the lose ends but I would have liked to have seen more of the Lyla story unfold instead of a short confrontation (if you could call it that) w/Dex before she set the fire.

I was hoping that his tools-of-the-trade would come into play somehow -- especially since they showed a clip of her sitting in the car staring at them.

Die, your Dexter is to die for! I love the blood splatter and you truly captured his creepy facial expression. I can't wait to see your "fine tuned" Dex.

You're Welcome! Your first 'effort' is just awesome, can't wait to see what you do with the 'fine tuned' version! :google If you do cast it put me down for one! :rock

Now that CBS is running Dexter on Sunday nights, I've had a chance to watch! I love the show, but something in the back of my mind makes me feel guilty for liking a serial killer (even if he only kills people who deserve it). Anyway, just wondering if anyone has heard if CBS will continue running it or is it just a replacement to fill the gap caused by the writer's strike?

I thought I read that the ratings for Dexter on CBS have been really good. I would assume they'd keep showing it if that's true. But who knows what networks will ever do?

Yea! I really hope so! I may have to pick up the DVD's...

It's a great series. I've only watched it on Showtime, but I can only imagine all the censoring they had to do just for Deb and Doakes. :lol

Between her sex romps and Doakes' language, a LOT!! :D

Have you been watching it on CBS? I heard that there really wasn't a lot of the violence cut out. It was mostly the language and sex.

And Deb talks like a trucker herself. Almost every other word out of her mouth is the f-word. :lol

There are a lot of "freakin's" thrown around! :rotfl

I have only seen a couple of episodes of season 2 as of tday. This weekend I'm going to catch up on the rest of the season that I missed on On Demand

i loved it on showtime and was wondering myself how the hell they could pull that off to switch to a regular network. i thought no way but it really doesnt lose too much...........still i would rather it be back on showtime because "freakin" doesnt really cut it on a serial killer show. :cut
