I do like what the LEDs are doing on the inside, creating those circular patterns around the circumference.

Does this thing feel about 1 pound?

I would say it was a bit less than 1 pound until you put the batteries in. Someone on the RPF took one apart and all that is inside is a piece of plastic and some LED's so I don't think it is even possible to get rid of the white plastic and replace it with a translucent piece as it would look terrible. There is also supposed to be a power socket for an adapter which there isn't. This is the last piece that I buy from this company as this is supposed to be made from the original prop from the film and I think they just cut too many corners and this is the end result. There is an ES of 2000 which I think will be around for a long time.
