Dinosauria: Euoplocephalus maquette

There are so many awesome ways to do Dilophosaurus and make it look really sweet.

I'm actually just finishing up my own juvenile one :

I'd like to think it will be at least as big as the Krentz T-rex. I'm hoping no one will be disappointed by this statue having no frill. It can be hard to separate that image from JP, from what is reality.


Having just ordered the Stegosaurus Maquette, I'm even more eager to see this new piece announced, and somehow get a Euoplocephalus hatchling. This is the only Sideshow line I collect, and the only one I want to be a completest with.

I would hope by now most know that was strictly a film thing..at least as far as we know. I wonder if it will be feathered ? I'm oping at least for a cool spiney look.

This is also the only Sideshow line I collect..I plan to be a completest on it unless they throw a major curveball at us..something that doesn't belong in a Dinosauria line at all..like a mammoth, or amphibian or something..lol

I'd LIKE to be a completist with the line, but I came in too late and simply WON'T pay $700-$1,200 for the earlier pieces on E-bay... >_<
I can only be as complete as possible from here on out... I hope the Dilophosaurus is spectacular!

Cuz I don't have a chance to get this Euoplocephalus , I have to do my best to find those flaws of this maquette in order to not feel too sad.
Firstly,the eye socket is way too small as a baby Ornithopoda dinosaur or even all kind of dinosaurs. From that maquette ,it has an adult's head. Wrong.
Then, those armor and spikes are fully grown on this maquette. It shouldn't be like that if u take a look at the present reptile.
BTW, under 150 bucks on Ebay in the future, I will think about it.
Now no way to lose Dilophosaurus Maquette.

I understand your trying to feel better about it, but I have confidence in Jorge's restoration. They do have skulls and fossil material for baby ankylosaurs, which do have smaller eyes. Even though dinosaurs are closer related to birds perhaps he went more " reptile " in regards to this one and it's armor. The armor isn't fully developed but still moreso than you would think. On the other hand I've seen reptiles hatch with spines, spikes and other armor..so i don't believe this one is very far from plausible.

I know I already said it on FB, but thanks for posting this Chris. I wonder how many more flippers will have theirs posted within the next few weeks. Maybe some of them will be the people who referred to this piece as a great baby dragon representation.

Just got an email saying my waitlist will convert as well. So there is hope. That makes 2 for me. I ordered one when it was still live, then jumped on the waitlist when it went up for another. I have plans to give one as a gift to my nephew but IDK if he can keep from breaking it...

I think the only ones canceling their preorder are collectors from outside the USA who don't want to pay 50$ or more for shipping AND are not interested in flipping. That narrows it down to a few individuals, I guess. Because depending on how much that ebay auction goes for, shipping costs of 50-70$ won't be enough to keep flippers from getting it.

Hard to tell how quickly I got on the WL, but I was probably one of the first. I kept refreshing the page about every 15 minutes that night because I was so that I missed out on the preorder. As soon as the Wait List was open I clicked the button.

I hate those guys, they buy everything only for re-selling.
I have no problem that i don´t got one, i´am more interested in predators than in herbivors, but that makes me angry!
