Disney premium format !!

Well... I love Disney and there are several characters which I would like to see made as a Premium Format... Jack Sparrow being on top of my list but How about a Sorcerer's Apprentice Mickey from Fantasia?...I think this Mickey should be a good choice to start as somebody said earlier...

and of course characters from other movies... my list of favourites is this:
Aladdin (Genie would make a great PF)
Alice in Wonderland
Beauty and the Beast
Hercules
The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Peter Pan
Pinocchio
Robin Hood
The Sword in the Stone
Toy Story

and many others...

I wouldn't be surprised to see a Steamboat Willie Mickey Black and White PF in the future...

what else yes I forgot about my favourite Donald Duck and PK (which is Donald anyways) for those who don't know PK here it is Paperinik created by Disney Italia... by the way Donald in Italy is called Paperino...

... It would be cool to see even characters from series like Duck Tales... let's see what the future brings...

I'd go in for some of the key Disney Villains: Scar, Shere Khan, Jafar, Chernabog, Shan Yu, Frollo, and perhaps a few others... such as Davy Jones and Barbossa. Still, I have excellent collectibles already for Scar and Shere Khan (though a Scar PF would be a must for me regardless), and I am extremely pleased with my HT Davy Jones already, as well as my ArtFX Barbossa; so it seems like this line is going to be a series of easy passes for me.

I see this license going towards the Disney Princesses. Disney already makes their own PFs called Big Figs but they are solid polystone. I'd love to see a Beast or an Ariel in premium format quality. Full clothing and maybe even fur would be great.

Whatever SSC does with this license, I hope its marketed outside of the circle they already have. Thats part of the failing of the 1/6th LOTR and the Jurassic Park dio. I think they failed to move outside the already established SSC collectors when there are SOOO many more people out there.

Hopefully SSC gets into the Disney Stores, etc with this line, otherwise it could be JP license all over again.

Would I like to see them, sure, would I pay $300 for the Little Mermaid? Hell no.

Sideshow needs to stay somewhat within reason here.

Frankly I don't know alot of people who'd think a 1/4 Tinkerbell would fit in with there collection of Terminator statues and melty face Toht figures.

I was thinking, I would love to have a Premium format figure of Walt himself. Maybe even better would be a PF Walt holding hands with a PF Mickey like the "Partners" statue.

Yep, you can find big statue of Disney on eBay as most of them are unsold. I saw one big statue sold for $800 because it was a promo for store display only.

These will be a tough sell unless Disney themselves buys a bunch for the parks.

I think this line will be hardcore Cutesy characters or hardcore Movie characters (^^^^ Tracy/Jack Sparrow). I do not see this line going all over the board.

If they make Princesses thats great for them, but they can't expect many of Freaks to buy them. They really need to make sure they market it to the right crowd...at the parks, Disney Stores, etc.

I don't think they have much experience in that way. Thats why I really think they are narrowing the license to be more like the typical male geek oriented stuff. Tron, POTC, etc.

I think you're right Prog. I can't decide if I hope you are right or hope you are wrong though. I would love to have some great Disney stuff (alot of what's out there now, aside from a few big figs don't grab my attention) but I know this line could easily break me if they go the distance () with it.

I'm a fan of a lot of Disney animation, but not really in the collector sense. I think a line of Villians would be really interesting though. Particularly the Evil Queen from Sleeping Beauty and Captain Hook, they're costumes are very impressive.

Yes, Maleficent and Hook would be great! As all the other Disney characters... yes I like Disney.
