I'd buy a good Lilo and Stitch for my eldest daughter and either Tink or Dumbo for my youngest, and I would love a light up WALL-E for myself!

Not that am I overcome with joy regarding this announcement - but a Jack Sparrow, Buzz Lightyear and WALL-E in PF would be fantastic!

Buzz and Woody FTW........even though I don't buy premium format.

Buzz would be a Thing styled PF where there'd be very little mixed media.

Technically, but imo they can make him as if he's a full size human. After all in the parades he's a full size human. Damn I wish they would give us more info on this. The suspense is killing me. I wanna know whether I need to start stashing away money right now.

Well, SS have made a little front page note:

While we can't reveal any more information at this time, we promise to let our collector base know which characters they can expect as soon as the details are finalized.

So the wait continues.

To me that means they are working out with Disney what licenses they'll be granted under the Disney umbrella and what won't. This could get tricky since Master Replicas had to be granted a separate Pirates license that was outside of the Disney umbrella same with Muppets when they made their stuff. I believe Gentle Giant had to do the same. Rocketeer was in that umbrella but ol' Pirates weren't. Those with the hopes of a Captain Jack Sparrow 1/4 scale PF might be in trouble.....

My bet is that POTC was the big motivation behind Sideshow acquiring this license.

Yes he did! I hope they come out with a PF of him because I'd rather have him then Blackbeard.

Disney is a huge score for SS but no interest here. Do they own Pixar? I'd take a Bruce from Nemo and that's about it. I liked Rocketeer but would pass on anything pricey, disliked Pirates I, never saw 2 or 3, someone mentioned ^^^^ Tracy? Walked out of that one, never understood the craze of Nightmare, Mickey and Donald are classics but isn't there enough Disney stuff out there already?

Disney does own Pixar but I have a feeling that this will include mainly human characters and not animated ones so I have my doubts that we'll get too many if any animated pieces. Rocketeer, Tron, D!ck Tracy, Davy Crockett, Captain Nemo from 20,000 Leagues, Zorro, Mary Poppins, Return to Oz, Three Musketeers which had Charlie Sheen and Kiefer Sutherland, Huck Finn, Hocus Pocus, Inspector Gadget, National Treasure even Popeye with Robin Williams and Dragonslayer with Dennis Quaid were Disney Live Actions and that is not including any of the POTC or Narnia which is actually Walden Media or the human animated characters like Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Prince Charming which have often been included in lines that were going live actions or even if they decide to use the human faces they have some of the characters in the Year of a Million Dreams celebration where Rachel Weisz was Snow White:

Julie Andrews as the Blue Fairy from Pinocchio, Roger Federer as King Arthur, David Beckham as Prince Phillip, Scarlett Johansson as Cinderella which is completely possible they have quite a bit to go before even having to tap the animated market.

This line will probably include one or two pieces from a particular license most likely ones that are visually impressive and then they'll move on so who know what will be included.

I'd mull over a scale Nautilus from 20K Leagues...

Here is the thing :lol

Its for Premium Formats only. Nothing else was announced.

If I'm going to buy any Princesses (and I'm a big enough sucker for Disney that I just might), I would rather them have their animated faces than celebrity faces.
