As someone who enjoys SW from a casual fan perspective I look forward to 7-9 and any other movies they make. If I was Lucas though I'd be happier than hell to ditch the crazies of the SW world on Disney. :lol

Disney will send Frank Castle to Star Wars Cons and give pissey fans a proper beat down.
"May the blunt force be with you."

Interesting. Based on that, I wonder if Cartoon Network will be losing Clone Wars.

It would appear that it would be. It'll be slapped on that Disney XD channel with commercials for all those gawd awful Disney shows and specials that make me want to barf.

I heard at CVI that Clone Wars only has one more season after the current one anyway so hopefully it wont have a chance to go over there. I would think the show too dark for that channel and we'd get rotten episodes like that one where those kids got sick off of that contaminated space juice or something a couple seasons ago. YUCK!

I'm excited about this.

Bottom Line: More Star Wars is good.

Even if Disney doesn't hit a home run at every at bat there's bound to be some gems the fans will cling too. Especially with Lucas on the sidelines.

Will Star Wars Comics Stay at Dark Horse?
Dark Horse to continue Star Wars comics for "the near future."
October 30, 2012
by Joey Esposito
For the last 20 years or so, Dark Horse Comics has been home to the Lucasfilm properties, including Star Wars and Indiana Jones. With today's freaking crazy news of Disney purchasing Lucasfilm and its subsidiaries, what does that mean for Dark Horse's license to publish comics based on their properties?
I reached out to Dark Horse for comment, who responded with this statement from president Mike Richardson:
"Dark Horse and LucasFilm have a strong partnership which spans over 20 years, and has produced multiple characters and story lines which are now part of the Star Wars lore.*Star Wars will be with us for the near future. Obviously, this deal changes the landscape, so we'll all have to see what it means for the future."
To me, that sounds like things will be changing at Dark Horse in terms of Star Wars. With Disney now owning Marvel and Star Wars, it's possible that Marvel could once again take on the publishing of Star Wars material. When Disney bought Marvel, the Disney/Pixar properties that had comics being published by Boom! Studios eventually reverted to Marvel, so it's likely the same thing will happen here.
That said, Brian Wood's Star Wars series that was announced a few months back is still slated to hit in 2013.

^^^ lots of things in flux.

Waiting to hear that Hasbro, and thus Sideshow, and thus HT will lose the license. :lol

I'd save a s-load of money if that happened.

HT would lose it as a sub leasee just to re-acquire it. Its not like they're not already dealing with Disney licenses.

I could see Mark Hamill as the mentor training a new Jedi Knight, putting him in the Qui-Gon/Old Obi-Wan position from the first installment of the previous trilogies. Kill Old Luke in Episode VII and bring back his ghost for VIII and IX. It would be fitting--and Jedi Luke dying could be powerful if handled correctly.
