Is there any movie scene that really disturbed you?

The scene in Saving Private Ryan when German soldiers stabs the American and the scene from Inglorious Basterds where Landa strangles the actress really get me to the point that I skip these when I rewatch the movies.

There aren't. I don't scare easily.

Yet, when I was about twelve, I watched Evil Dead for the first time at a friend who had cable. There were three of us. And there's this scene where Ash climbs down the stairs to the cellar and camera pans all around the room. Nothing happens and the camera ends right where it began, on Ash's face. Dunno why but that scene was really terrifying. You expect something is gonna happen and nothing happens. I remember we were all pretty jumpy after the movie.

So I wanted to brag and walked my buddy back right to his doorstep because he was afraid, but I was the tough guy and wasn't afraid. As soon as he closed the door, I bolted back home like the devil was after me! :lol

This might be the 4th time this subject comes out in a thread in the past years lol

Martyrs, could barely get to the end of the movie.

Good thread....

I agree with SPR

Also Reagan stabbing herself with the cross from The Exorcist.

Pretty much all of Requiem from a Dream.

I couldn't stomach the Hill have Eyes remake or any of the Devils Rejects ( or any of Rob Zombies stuff including Halloween) again.....basically torture porn....not my thing....

Can't get through District 9. Tried several times. The transformation is vomit-inducingly gross.

My wife can't sit through the rape scene in The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.

As a kid I was terrified of the huge raisin-faced guy in the Rocketeer. Had nightmares about him. Same for the aliens from Independence Day - they killed Data!

The white alien from alien resurrection being sucked through that tiny hole. The scene to this day makes me sick the way it's guts burst out. I hate it.

Disturbing?

Scary stuff in films don't really disturb me. But not all scary stuff is disturbing.

I'd say the rape scene in David Fincher's version of 'The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo' was SUPER disturbing to me. I had seen the original Swedish version of the Trilogy, but I found Fincher's version of that particular scene to be stomach churningly disturbing. Hard to watch for sure.

Pretty much the entirety of 'Requiem for a Dream'. Talk about a brutal ending.

All of 'A Serbian Film'. I refuse to ever watch that film again. It gets thrown around alot for being pretty ****ed up, but there's a reason...it's supremely ****ed up.

I couldn't finish 'Anti-Christ', so I'd say most of that was pretty disturbing to me.
