Oops,yeah i guess they are,that's how it goes when you have like a billion small pieces you try to handle

Here is mine so far. I still need to do the windshields, doors and back tank assemblies and detail the feet/hands.

I sprayed the red and blue parts with a Testors Wet Look spray, dry brushed the under body with silver and a black wash of some of the parts.

Yeah, it is their wet look clear lacquer spray.

Everytime I use that lacquer the finish isn't smooth.

Yeah, some of the panels aren't as smooth looking as I would like but it still looks a lot better in person than the plain dull colored plastic.

Last week if anyone can remember I posted my kit was packaged with 2 of the same pieces. I was pretty bummed out about it. I tried emailing all of the big (and some little) online retailers who carried the kit to see if they had any returns so I could buy the piece off of them. Sadly no one had any.

In a last ditch effort, I somehow navigated through the Takara Tomy website and found their customer service form (completely in ___anese). Using Google Translate and a lot of patience I filled out the form to the best of my ability. I knew it was a long shot, but I figured I would try anyway.

The next morning I check my email and I get this email ...........



Today I get home and I received a parcel which was shipped EMS from Takara. It was packaged really nicely and to my surprise it was almost the entire A sprue. I now have the part I needed and a few extras.

I have to say I am really impressed by Takara Tomy and I just want to say thank you for helping me out guys, I really appreciate it

I encountered the same problem with no luck on securing the missing piece. I received 2 of the same parts. I got 2 LEFT wheel guards/panels. I was wondering if you can help me. Maybe you have a spare for the RIGHT wheel guard/panel. Pls PM me. Maybe we can exchange so our figures will finally both have a left and a right one. Thanks. Heres a picture.

I had the same problem with my kit too. i had build this bad boy for quite some time now but didnt really notice the problem till lately. They gave me two LEFT wheel guards/panels. ill show you a pic here. I was wondering if you will be kind enough to help a stranger out. If you happen to have a spare of optimus' RIGHT wheel guard/panel which i am missing please PM me. maybe we can have some form of arrangement. im really desperate to get the missing piece so my kit will finally be in its correct form. thanks!

Just picked up a takara MP-04 optimus and trailor...pretty excited...didnt know about it until last week (wasnt into the newer TF's until I got Leader Bumblebee)

I'd love to get my hands on each of these...they look like great display pieces!


But for the love nor hate of it, i cant find anywhere in the UK to get them. Or someone willing to import them unless i'm willing to pay triple the cost of the kit in postage, import fee's and taxes combined...

Fixed up Prime's hands with the soldering needle into center of the knob method. Good stuff.

Feels good being able to pose the hands now!

wanna give a shoutout for bustajesse. this guy is incredibly kind and unbelievably helpful. just a newbie here but he didnt hesitate to help me. got this badboy overseas and unfortunately it came with two left fenders. contacted him and he happened to have a spare right fender. gave it to me for free no questions asked. million thanks to you bro!!!

With the success of this line hopefully takara will be doing more down the road. This time the baddies like megatron, starscream or sentinel prime.
