When buying something from eBay what would collectors prefer to see, the Auction or But It Now? I have lots of collectibles that I need to sell.

I always prefer the Buy It Now. Actually from my time on Ebay I've never even bid on anything, just Buy It Now's.

I think most people like the BIN's which why as a buyer it seems like a lot of times I can get things cheaper bidding since nobody wants to wait. So as a seller go with the BIN.

I've bought and sold quite a bit on eBay and I prefer Buy It Now in both instances.

As a seller, I can set the price I want. As a buyer, I can get what I want without having to wait for an auction to end and without having to worry about being outbid.

As a seller, whether you set a BIN or not should depend on your knowledge of the value of what you are selling. If you have a pretty good handle over what something is worth (e.g. what a typical "auction" would go for), then I would set a BIN for a little to a bit over whatever that price is (maybe 5-10 percent more, possibly higher if you are optimistic), and chances are that someone will bite.

As previous poster said, buyers are impatient, and don't want to deal with snipers, etc. As such, many are willing to pay a premium to get the item immediately.

However, if you underestimate the value of something, then a BIN can give you less than an auction. In that case, I would do an auction, and set the starting bid/reserve at whatever your lowest acceptable selling price is. Then, let the "market" do what it does!

So, again, I would make this decision and set the price based on how well you think you can estimate what something is worth.

It just depends. Sometimes you can pick up something alot cheaper through auction, but sometimes deals pop up with BIN too. I also look for free shipping. BIN almost always when live.com has a good percentage up!

Yeah, another reason to use BIN is if you want to sell something quickly. Set something's price as about 10-15% lower than its normal selling price.

Def BIN, sometimes I forget about an auction I've been watching for a week or i have to work when it ends :lol

BINs save you some time and hassle but sometimes keeping an eye on an auction can get you a good deal.

I always prefer the Buy It Now. With auctions, I usually put it in my watch list and then forget about it. I rarely bother with following up on them. BIN is the way to go.

Well if the BIN is low I'd prefer it.. If its high I laugh at it..

Most BINs do not entail a deal.. Auctions at times can be had at a steal, and sometimes not..

Why did I take the time to answer this is the better question...
