It's the arrogance I can't stand. We'll see how safe you are when Mac OS reaches the user base of PC/Windows (if that ever happens).

You will find no arrogance here. I recently switched to a Mac because of the desire of not wanting to deal with as MANY viruses and spyware and computer slowdown. All these things from my research prove to be much less relevant with a Mac. I have said it before. Give me a month or two to make up my mind. I can't say its better yet. I will say now that it is very user friendly and for a non computer expert like myself I had a harder time setting up my PS3 (a game machine) then I did this computer.

I guess I don't understand the hate. :dunno

I'm not pointing fingers at anyone here (well, at least not directly).

If it weren't for the breadth of hardware customization options inherent to the PC platform I would've switched to Mac already.

Didn't think you were pointing fingers at all. :duff

don't hate windows, but i love my mac and feel that leopard is much better than anything windows has to offer (this includes the upcoming windows 7 which i dual boot with my macbook pro. while not 100% making up for Vista, it does take a step in the right direction)
