nice, tri-personality. much be fun when you're arguing with yourself who is at the same time arguing with yourself. that could be confusing.

It can get confusing when choosing which Superman Returns figure to get, DCD, HT or Medicom.:D

Yep my friend is as big a collecting nut as I am... we don't live in the same state anymore, but we are constantly calling and emailing each other about different figures we've found or are looking for! Its nice, but also helps to reinforce my bad spending habits... much like this board :monkey1

Love you too, Joseph. What he didn't tell you guys is that we send each other figures for X-mas and B-days. My collection wouldn't be the same w/o Joe's keen eye and wallet. A Mego Huggy Bear on card for Christmas! You shouldn't have! Pimps and the birth of Christ go together like...um, I got nuthin'.
:D

I'm Star Wars my best friends into Superman, so most of our interests cross, BUT he doesn't dooooo toys or statues or anything. Most of his money goes to his entertainment center, which is cool. So I have no collecting buddies, but it's no big deal.

i have alot of friends that are into collecting and they call themselves Sideshow Freaks :monkey3

...i know, that was :monkey4

Most of the friends I have these days - and yes, that includes the 'real' ones I see on a regular basis - are those I've met through the hobby over the last 15 years. My nephew is also a big time collector, so it runs in the family as well.

That is cool Michael to have family members that share your hobby. Hopefully if God graces me with a child, he/she will enjoy collecting comics and figures with their dear old dad.

Right back atcha Nate! I can actually thank (curse) this guy for getting be into hardcore collecting... at a party we started talking about all things toys and he mentioned M.U.S.C.L.E. figures. After that I went home, found my figures started buying and it was the beginning of the end.

We actually lived together for a bit... our place was pretty full of cool-ass *****.

And I still think the old-school Star Wars figures were kinda lame. Let the persecutions begin! :D

Remember, I was a G.I. Joe fan more than a Star Wars fan as a kid. But who here didn't have a Chewbacca figure. That had to be the most popular figure when the movie came out.

PLEASE !!! That's an easy choice. A) HOT TOYS !!!!!!! or B) ALL OF THEM !!!!! But I would go for A. DCD one is horrible; even though I got him for $20, I'm sorry I bought it.

ROFL, yes DCD is in a league of it's own... the comic figures are cool... but they should stick to comic figures.... their movie line is kinda horrid...

I actually know two other people that collect. Interestingly enough, they are my uncle and my dad, but on different sides. My old man is a car nut and collects die cast model cars, trucks, and big rigs. His place is filled with them. It's nuts. They're all over his dressers, desks, shelves, etc. I envy him and his hooby. My uncle is into collecting Spawn stuff and Gundam model kits. He doesn't collect on a regular basis though anymore.... I guess you can say that if he sees something he gets it. It is good to know that I am not alone. :D

Hahaha. Yeah, it is pretty cool. My dad helps me with setting up all my stuff, gives me ideas for my collection, so it rocks.

I have one friend who also collects and has an extremely impressive collection. My other friends think it's cool though.

Yeah, I'm like you Danfaz, all my friends thinks I'm nuts spending all this money on these things

A good friend of mine also collects all kinds of stuff. Lotr, Muppets, Harry Potter, Hellboy. Its great to talk to him about collecting because all my other friends really like my collection but would never purchase any of it.

But unfortunatly I have to cut down my purchases because of a girl... well the girl...:love

well im from singapore and its a pretty small country so yeah you get to meet many fellow collectors. So besides my online collector buddies , i also have real friends who collect. One of em collects gundam and transformers. Another star wars. The rest collect movie props.

most of my friends marvel and praise over my hobby of SCULPTING, but they'll be in shock if they ever see my "toy collection"
yep..they would
