I read nearly the entire X-Men and Avengers line on a monthly basis. Marvel has lost me a bit lately, I have just found DC's books (particularly the Batman line) to be a lot stronger and the stories a lot more entertaining. I have a big attachment to the X-Men (I grew up watching the 90's cartoon show every morning) and I can see myself following them for years to come.

I used to read monthly issues, but the stories started to get pretty weak and the prices went to high. I moved on from it at that point.

Yeah. I read a variety of marvel books and all the Bat books from DC. Comics are getting pretty pricey. My LCS owner is a cool guy. He gives me 30% off all my books. That takes the sting out of the prices a little bit.

Was a huge collector in my youth but the closing of my local comic shop and other priorities limited my ability to stay connected. I had been really wanting to get back into it and the New 52 helped as it can be intimidating to jump in to the middle of a run sometimes.

Really looking forward to Marvel Now as I was always more of a marvel guy.

YES! Still reading Invincible Iron Man and Amazing Spider-Man and following the big stories on Avengers and X-Men. Also try to keep up with interesting stories of a lot of other characters. Some series I buy some I don't. (Like Iron Fist, DD, Nova, Hulk, Cap, Deadpool, Thor etc.) All in TPB's though.
How is Venom Nova?

I'm a DC guy who just got into Marvel recently mostly because of the Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon.
So far I have ASM Omnibus Vol 2 and Macfarlane Omni. Astonishing X-Men Omni and Spider-Man Blue.

It's good, i'm really enjoying it. I never thought they could change a character so much and make it work so well.

Might start reading Venom as well then...He does look very cool. Any TPB's out or just comics? (I could type in Venom in the Amazon searchbox, but I'm afraid it will show too much results.:peace)

My monthly list:

Amazing Spider-Man
Avengers
Avengers Academy (just cancelled)
Captain America
Fantastic Four
FF
Gambit
New Avengers
Secret Avengers
Uncanny Avengers
Uncanny X-Force (consistently the best)
Uncanny X-Men
X-Factor
X-Men
X-Men Legacy

And DC:
Batman
Batman and Robin
Justice League

AvX was death to the X-Men and going into Marvel Now I'm looking at what I can cut. Constant relaunched are starting to turn me away.

Thunderbolts, Venom & Scarlet Spider are on top of my list. Wolverine & the X-Men, Uncanny X-Force rounds off the list on the Marvel side of things.

My list for Marvel is too large, I'm letting my Cap and Iron Man subs expire and will probably let a few others go and get the TPBs later. Spider-Man and Thor are the two I will get indefinitely, but right now Daredevil and Rucka's Punisher are the ones I'm most excited to get.

When I was a kid living at home I built up an insane collection that I keep on storage. It's to big for our house.
I stopped collecting but not reading for a decade.
Right now my I mostly buy Hard Cover trades, hit up the .99 cent digital sales on the apps and supplement with Marvel Digital.
Hands down Marvel Digital is ridiculous. I just wish I could find a tablet that could read it.

My books has generally always been X-Men and Spider-Man with single character titles like Iron Fist and Punisher thrown in and runs like DnA on Cosmic but recently it seems that all individual characters have become Avengers.

X-men were the only ones seperate and now after AvX they've been absorbed and now it's difficult to find a book that doesn't have Avenger characters in.

I tried Iron Man for a bit and found it boring, Events were cool because they had lots of different characters, i read JMS. Run of Thor which was great but Avengers as a team never interested me as it seemed a mish-mish of characters called a team whereas X-Men were a team that became a family.

Marvel Comics has transformed to Avenger comics and lost it's attraction for different type of heros and characters having different types of stories and situations. There are some of course but overall it's more same now so different titles can't be too different as they share too much with another, they're all gonna end up with the same tone and atmosphere and characters and tell too similar stories :(

With Uncanny Avengers, If you want to read X-Men now then you have to read Avengers too and if you want to read Avengers then you have to read X-Men. Having them seperate meant that fans could read both if they wanted but could avoid the other if they wanted too, now there's not a choice :dunno

Since i don't find Avengers interesting the new status quo has compromised X-Men for me, and the same exists for others like me and others of the reverse who don't like X-Men but are having them thrust upon them.
