I stopped caring about Sarah Jane as a character long ago, her story got perfect closure in "School Reunion" but in true RTD fashion he couldn't leave things be and she got not only her own series but also returned to the main show in the end of series 4 reunion special............ I'm sick of the sight of her.

Also why the hell couldn't RTD bring back Jo Grant or more importantly The Brigadier when he was running the main show?

It's cool news! Unfortunately I've found the Sarah Jane series to be wobbly and mediocre at best. Now I just watch it during the Who enemy/character appearances which are usually underwhelming by the second episode. The wedding one with the Doctor was was good though.

Agreed. But the fact that Matt Smith is in it plus RTD is writing should be interesting, no?

Don't get me wrong, I keep watching cause I HOPE for better. I just try not to get to excited about SJ beforehand because of the track record.

With SJA I think expectations should be minimal anyway considering it's meant to be a kids show.

I watched the first series and the ones where the Brig was in it but couldn't be bothered with the rest of it. My niece still likes it though.

From The Digital Spy,

Ten Teasers about "The Time Of Angels"

1. When we meet Doctor Song, she's on the run - but she has an escape plan involving The Doctor.

2. The episode includes the caption "10,000 years later."

3. There's a Weeping Angel trapped inside the Byzantium.

4. First mention of "spoilers"? 9 minutes 27 seconds.

5. Amy: "Is River Song **** ****? ... "She's *** ****** from the ******, isn't she?"

6. There's a device that harks back to 'Silence In The Library'. Think "hey, who turned out the lights?"

7. Amy should really learn that too much TV is bad for her eyes.

8. The Doctor. Bites. Amy.

9. River: "I have pictures of *** **** *****."

10. The cliffhanger isn't the usual sort of two-parter cliffhanger we've grown accustomed to with new Who. Despite being very familiar.

I have a feeling the missiing words from teaser 5 will be "your", "wife", "the" "missus" & "future".

And from teaser 9. "The" ,"first" and "Angel".

If anyone can enlighten me on what the 6th one is about I'd appreciate it.

9. "I have pictures of you (him?) buck naked".:D

Sadly I think you're probably more accurate. But as long as every exchange between the Doctor & River isn't riddled with such cheesiness I'll be able to tolerate it.

It's not too hard to find, Google "Dalek" in images with safe-search off.
Edit: I found it on page eight of my search..

Curiosity got the better of me and i had a butchers, wish i didn't! daleks cannot be sexy no matter who is stood next to them stark naked!

No kidding.. they had that low-rent "Dalek Porn" a few years ago and that was absolutely terrible.
Abducted by the Daleks (or Daloids)
Eh.. pure rubbish.

Is there nothing the porn industry wont spoof? Dr who is hardly the most erotic thing going today especially the aliens!

Im looking forward to saturdays episode, i want to see where Moffet takes the River story next. It sounds morbid but i'd like to see a special epidsode hwere on eof the doc's companions actually is killed off for good, not trapped in another dimension but killed possibly by the daleks, this would give them their evil status back rather than being beaten each time they appear or having a cheap victory by running away.

Yeah, they have really coped out when it comes to killing companions.
Kyle was only a companion for one episode and died, but they even wimped out on that, and made her some sort of Space ghost or something.

We need impactful deaths like Adric's

I still think the Cybermen looked better in that episode than they do now

I think if it was to be a meaningful death someone like Amy would have to die near the end of the series, possibly in the first of a two parter with the second part of the episode the doctor fighting to control himself yet be stricken with guilt and rage. having a one shot companion die is not as impactful as one who is a fan favourite plus a companion that has been with the doctor a while and he enjoys the company of. For exaple if the Daleks killed Amy pond it would give the doctor new anger and intensety towards the Daleks other than the unseen timewar. I think because the audience were a fan of the companion the impact of her death would be better helping create a new found hate of Daleks restoring them to truley threatening because lets face it they are hardly frightening anymore and i think used more as a nostalgic gimmick.

Subject to ratings of her own show the next companion I'd kill off would be Sarah Jane as it would have the biggest impact on both the Doctor and the audience.

If the Master was brought back and played by someone who actually looked like a convincing bad guy I think it'd be the perfect way to restore some of the characters original menace.

Failing that the new Daleks should do it.
