I like Murray Gold (listening to him now as a matter of fact) but I just was hoping for a change in tone (literally). :lol

Now i dont want to sound harsh or even out of order because im really not, but i kind of hope Moffat lays off the running trend of most characters being sexually ambiguous. I feel it doesnt need to be said, i cant imagine a 10 year old giving a hoot which guy or gal is swinging.

During "Victory of the Daleks" when Amy was getting the scientist to talk about someone he loved to show his humanity and disarm the bomb I half expected him to say another male because that would have definitely been the case during the last era but he didn't so I think that's a sign that Moffat isn't going to be going the same route.

Intresting idea on the Rani, it would certainly explain the ease in which River handled the TARDIS.

As for Murray Gold, I think he's another leftover from the RTD era that should be swept away.

Caught "The Beast Below" this past weekend, much much better than the first episode. The comedy was more subtle and natural, and Matt felt like his own Doctor.

finally watched the beast below. Much better than the 11th hour. not so crazy, simpler story telling, less running around. PS, save the whales!

glad to finally see the new Doctor and I think I'll grow to like him. the episode was good and I really like the Amy Pond character.

Have to admit i cant stand the new tardis, i was hoping it would grow on me but it reminds me of a kids playground or adventure park, i half expect a ball pool under the centre console. I did like the tardis when it looked more homely with antique chairs. If i was 900+ years old and lived in a box i'd deffo make it look like i lived in it. I am hoping they do an episode set in the tardis so we can see just how large it really is rather than just one room.

:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl

Maybe the designers spent their lunch hour at a pub that had a kids play area?

I like some of the details such as the pinball table parts but overall it looks too "busy".

A new version along the lines of the secondary console room from Tom's run would be much nicer IMO.

The ending almost spoiled it for me but thankfully Steven Moffat realises the Doctor isn't human and his reactions to Amy's advances were suitably awkward.

To me this represents a definite turning point in the direction of Nu-Who because it shows that the Doctor is once again being written as an ALIEN who won't react to situations as expected and certainly not in a human manner like his predecessor would have.

The overall episode was a great follow up to last week and as a whole I thought the return of the Angels was excellent.

Matt Smith is impressing more as each week goes by, Karen Gillan isn't far behind and Steven Moffat is slowly but surely wiping the floor with RTD's version of Who.

Not bad! Bit fast in places and hopefully no more sexual stuff! Not as good as last week for me though

Loved it! Very good two-parter. Only makes me feel stronger that all single episodes need to be expanded to a full hour to set up the story a bit more when not two-parters.

Long standing rumors coming true...

So the years old, long-standing rumor that Who continuity was going to be re-written has happened with the revelation that the crack in time seems to have wiped out Amys knowledge of the Daleks and Earths memory of the 1800's Cybermen. It will be interesting how extensive this ends up going and what it effects. Total re-set? Minor reset for certain baddies? Is this why no one remembers the Yeti in the underground? Is this why UNIT dates are screwed up?
Is this why there is more than one version of the Loch Ness Monster, Titanic, and Atlantis in Doctor Who lore?

What's the end game of this? A manipulation by one of his enemies to get this to happen for that races benifit? Does this mean the Time Lords will be back? Mind you, I don't really care if the do ever come back (except for Romana II). If they did come back I'd like them to remain baddies and a threat to be fought.

Anyone notice that after the Doctor has his jacket ripped away from him, after he seems to leave Amy he comes back a few seconds later and he is wearing a jacket which we haven't seen him in yet?

This series really is becoming a timey-wimey affair.

No. Just no. Loved the episode up until the last 5 minutes. I really hope there is more to Amy than this. I'm having a serious bcm moment here.

Why does there have to be attraction at all? At least The Doctor isn't into it, but he wasn't into Martha either. At least Martha had the decency to keep it a puppy dog thing. This is just... just wrong.

Next episode looks great. Vampires, and Rory with his shirt should be good. But this season just took a turn for the worse, imo. How many times are we going to re-use this same old crap.
