I'm kind of mixed on "Let's Kill Hitler". I think Moffat is trying too hard to be clever and it's finally starting to hurt the show. It's like all the earlier plot seeds he planted have already bore fruit so now he's trying to retroactively plant seeds and harvest the fruit in the same episode.

I think the performances saved it for me. These guys keep getting better and better, imo, I just hope the writing ship gets, uh, righted.

Matt Smith was AMAZING in this episode. I was just thinking how annoying Mel was and then she
"died"
, so that made me a little happy :lol

I enjoyed it, lots of fun, but man, the River Song storyline has to be the most convoluted plotline ever cooked up in the 50 year history of Doctor Who.

I really liked the episode, i dont think the plots are getting that bad at all rather starting to straighten out, were finally at Rivers start polishing up what has been playing out for a long while. Matt is absolutley fantastic in the role, one slight critisim of the writing i guess is the reliance of people 'dying' to create an impact, its getting a bit samey and losing effect.
The Silence, Idris and the junk Tardis were new additions, all looking really good especially the Junk Tardis.

I made a visit to the Doctor Who experience, it's absolutley brilliant tailored for fans and general viewers alike. I went with two non-Who fans and they had a great time looking at the exhibits and the interactive show which had a great 3D section.
The new Daleks are massive and look really, really great in real life and it changed my 'meh' opinion of them. The Cybusmen were a tad smaller than i imagined them to be but still great in person but paled compared to the old prop masks and heads of the classic Cybermen on show beside.

I also liked it. Yes, It was a tad overly complicated and the pace could have done with slowing down, but I found myself liking it despite that.

Pretty good episode,
but that (Pre-river) friend of Amy felt very forced ..if they had shown her in a previous episode briefly it would have made it easier to believe.

I thought it was an intriguing episode and nice to see a little more development to River Song rather than just more convolution. So is this how they got over the 12 lives hump? Works for me.

Maybe I lost track and missed it through all of the mad rush of River Song saving the Doctor, but Hitler sorta dropped out of the episode...did they put him back?

No. Hitler was only there to justify the appearance of the time traveling justice robot. He was irrelevant to the story after that.

I didn't haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate the episode like I've hated most of the Matt Smith era ones (although I'm still kind of stuck on the part about why I should give a damn about River Song or Amy and Rory for that matter), but I know I would have liked it a lot more if they would TURN THE FREAKING SCORE DOWN.

It does an immense disservice to the actors to have the stupid music on all the time telling us what we're supposed to feel and distracting us from their work. I would love to be able to watch the show with no score because right now I feel like I'm watching "horrible annoying loud music with moving picture and occasional dialogue accompaniment" which I don't think is how it is meant to be.

Best part for me was Rory mimicking Amy's accent, i really like his characters development over the two series and out of the whole new Moffat regime apart from Matt's doctor its been the best thing he achieved.

Oh christ you and me both. Murray bloody Gold's music drives me to distraction with the levels It's set at half the time.
