That was a weird episode...in a good way...

Bit predictable, but still ok...

I liked Jenny...:naughty...

Still, not technically his daughter...more like a non-identical clone...if that makes sense...

I didn't watch this week's episode but did see a couple of glimpses when my niece was watching Confidential and it would appear I didn't miss much,WTF is it with RTD and bringing characters back to life after being shot?
No doubt "Jenny" will reappear in a future episode in some sort of generic "save me Daddy!" storyline or failing that she'll come to the Doctor's aid in some way, maybe even as early as the series finale.
Next week is the Agatha Christie episode which I have no intrest in and the following 2 after that are written by the most overrated writer in the shows 45 year history so it looks like my Nu-Who viewing sabbatical will be a bit longer than I anticipated but if they are anything like the dross that has made up much of the last 2 series I won't be bothered in the slightest.

Stop.
Watching.
Doctor.
Who.

If I stop watching it'll be my decision and zero to do with you so get off my case.
My opinion of the series may not be the same as most people here but that's no reason to start giving me crap.

Children, calm down...

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion...

Don't make me come back there...

<<completely calm

I just don't understand why someone who clearly hates everything about a program and the people who are in it and the people who make it... carries on watching it and posting in a thread about it.

I have programs that I can't stand... but I certainly don't watch them or go to forums about them, dragging them down with constant relentless negativity

I just don't get it, that's all :dunno

I don't hate everything about it,I really enjoyed the 3 episodes prior to The Doctor's Daughter and as I've said before I thought the first 2 series were mostly great.
Just as you don't "get" my position I find it baffling that so many people find it so good, particularly the last series which was dire,it's far from the worst thing on TV but the show is getting more and more Americanised which is definitely having an adverse effect on the the quality.
The US has more than it's share of pretentious, generic sci-fi series and I don't want to see Doctor Who go the same way.

I know how to settle this...

Hands up who thought The Sontaran Strategem/The Poison Sky were awesome?

*Raises Hand*

Me!
I enjoyed the performance of Christopher Ryan as General Staal more than anything as it was very close to the first 2 Sontaran performances by Kevin Lindsay in 1973 and 1975,the voice and mannerisms were spot on and the updated costume was the icing on the cake.

I expected the worse from The Doc's Daughter and I got my favorite episode of series 4 so far. :rock :rock :rock

I hope we see more of Jenny. But (spoiler):

Why didn't she regenerate at the end? After she came back to life she was in the same likeness. A result of being a clone?

Although this is the spoiler thread. :dunno

One of the latest rumors going round is that one of the companions will die in the finale.
Seeing as how new series of Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures have been confirmed that means it's going to either be Donna,Rose or Martha.
My choice would be Rose as it would have the biggest emotional impact and bring that chapter of the shows history to a conclusive end,the show needs to move on as since she left they've mentioned her far too often and IMO it's overshadowed her replacements.
I think Donna is the most likely of the 3 to bite the dust though,RTD said in an interview prior to the series beginning that Donna will "break your hearts" so I'm thinking that she'll go out in a blaze of glory saving the Doctor.
Martha should be OK as there's more potential angles for her returning either as part of UNIT or joining the Torchwood team full time.

There are scout reports that witnessed the farewell scenes of ep 13. Mikey Donna, and Martha are all there and the Doc enters the TARDIS alone.

My opinion: Rose will die. :crying2

I think Billie Piper wants to be known for more than just Doctor Who and her dubious singing career and probably only agreed to return this time if they killed her character off decisively.
Rose was a great character and deserves an ending which will have some impact, what better way to do it than sacrificing her own life to save the Doctor?

Well, I just watched Doctor's Daughter/Unicorn and the Wasp back-to-back, I was a little behind, and I enjoyed BOTH episodes. As to why she didn't regenrate, she has to know how to do it in order to regenerate. Remember the doctor told the master to regenerate and he wouldn't; so I would assume you have to consciously do it. So it seems that Jenny was the woman who picked up the ring at the end of last season, LOVE how they drop little hints WAY back to come to fruition later on. AND yes, Jenny was :love:love:love

The agatha christie episode I thought was a good stand-alone episode. I love murder mysteries, so I enjoyed the episode quite a bit.

Wait...you think that was Jenny who picked up the Master's ring? I thought the reason her appearance didn't change was because she was a clone...

And I thought RTD said the hand who got the Master's ring was The Rani...

He may have been kidding, but it makes sense if it was...

I don't know, I wouldn't put it past anything this year. Jenny's got to go somewhere, maybe she finds a Tardis, or it drawn to utopia by the paradox machine. I didn't know that RTD already said who picked up the ring.

Just remember, the scene where martha falls in the "ooze" was really poorly acted.

Jenny has no time machine. I think she is stuck doing the Kung-fu grasshopper gig in her own time.
