....broken..... record......... come up.... with.... something new........
:monkey1

If someone attempted a decent explanation of why they like Blink so much or whatever is so clever about it maybe I would change my tune, but so far there's been zip.

The last 2 episodes were ruddy awesome.
Sontarins on mass instead of 2 and in some nice battlescenes, like how they went back to the 70,s design and made them all short.
The Valiant appearing i thought was a great and i like how that death star laser was the same one torchwood used to destroy that meteor spaceship of the 1st christmas special.
Donna's mum with the axe i liked, saves Granda who is a character i really enjoy.

Not sure about nest week, always found it a little lame that in TV series there just happens to be a child which the main character does'nt know about and i thought the doc was meant to have a son instead of a cute daughter. It strange about Moffat i was woindering when we where going to get a new who episode from him, hope hes working on soe other cool stuff like Hyde, that was another one of his low budget well written BBC series made.

I liked blink because you didn't know what the crap was going on until the last 10 minutes. I loved that people were sent back to the past and you had these cryptic messages from the doctor under wall paper and crazy moving statues that gave me the chills. Sally Sparrow was an interesting character and her friends brother reminded me of some of you. :lol

Well, if there's one Doctor-less epsiode I didn't like, it was Fear Her...

No real enemy, and just a timefiller waiting for Army of Ghosts/Doomsday...

Blink reminded me of Back to the Future Part II...

Doctor's granddaughter = Susan

First Doctor's first companion. :lecture

Fair enough. Had I not been bored beyond belief by the prior story I would have been more likely to get into Blink but the slow start didn't really do it for me and the relative lack of the Doctor & Martha just didn't make sense.
Despite all my complaints I have enjoyed the last 3 episodes, particularly the Sontaran story which had some great action and a few funny moments as well.

On a former point on which we both agree, I hear the next story suffers greatly from the 45 minute one-off formulae. :monkey2

I think something as important as the first glimpse of the Doctor's child deserves 2 or 3 parts (at least) and I think it would have made a great final 3 parts of the series as opposed to yet another storyline involving the Daleks.
Based on the trailer this week's episode has very strong potential to be a complete trainwreck and I'm probably not going to bother watching.

Moffat should have written a story involving the Doctor's Daughter. Would have been creepy and great at the same time :monkey2

EVEN though, with her blonde hair, she could be Madame De Pompadour's daughter with the doctor. I know they never actually did it, but that would be awesome.....but I'm sure it's Rose's kid

As bad as it could be, I'm still gonna watch it...

I don't have anything better to do at that time...

wow.... able to judge an episode as being crap and decide to not watch it.... without having seen it?

The trailer at the end of The Poison Sky was enough for me.
Maybe if it didn't appear that the Doctor's child is going to be a stereotypical "action girl" in the vein of Buffy or Lara Croft I'd be more enthusiastic but I suppose it's asking too much for Nu-Who to have anything but the laziest stereotypes possible.

There is a lot venom in your responses about Nu Who... Were you and RTD in a school yard scuffle as children? ;)

I'm just annoyed that the quality has gone so far downhill since the first 2 series and think both RTD and David Tennant have outstayed their welcomes.
Whilst it was the revived series that got me into the franchise in a big way I've found the Classic stories I've since bought on DVD to be far more entertaining and by comparison the new series just seems very "dumbed down",all style with little substance and Tennant's one dimensional performances are getting very stale.
I think Christopher Eccleston was far better at showing a variety of different emotions and had he stayed for another series would have evolved far better than Tennant who only shines when he charges around like Road Runner on speed raving about how wonderful humans are.

A 7 day war with generation of clones, that was a cool idea.

Great episode and one starnge looking aliens, what were they called the Bath? A first i thought they were a lae 70's style monster but really liked them because of the one that hand around Martha, wonder if she turn up again.

Looking forward to seeing the doctors daughter again, she is a cutie.

Don't know about anyone else but i alway like hearing about the Time War, the greatest war in history. I alway imagine the 8th doctor fighting in that and it a good excuse why there was no who during that period and now we know that the doctor son died during it.
