Aside from nice moments between Donna and Rose the episode was the usual dross I've come to expect from RTD who is clearly incapable of writing a story without some sort of BS social or political comment in it.
All that crap about most Americans turning into Adipose and the immigrants being sent to "labor" camps as part of a "England for the English" initiative was a change from his usual gay agenda but just as pointless and added nothing to the story.
I want to be excited about the last 2 episodes but with all the characters that are going to be involved I won't be suprised if it's a huge mess.

You must have missed the purple TelleTubbie (Tinky Winky, aka the gay one) behind the italian when Donna's family first move in to the house in Leeds. :lol

I really enjoyed tonights episode, it left me hungry and unsatisfied though. Can't wait till next week!

I liked the episode too...

And I'm glad that Torchwood are in it too...

It's funny how they try and hide the Daleks in next week's preview...

We ALL know it's them...

....i'm sorry I tuned out right after that. Did you carry on talking?

Get off my case. If you don't like what I have to say then just ignore it instead of making these snide remarks.
Other people don't seem to have a problem with my opinions so what's your f'ing problem?
Pixletwin,
I did see the Teletubby but I don't buy into that crap about one of them being gay as they are meant to be children's characters and as such sexuality shouldn't be an issue.

One other thing I liked about the episode was the performance of Bernard Cribbins as Donna's Grandad. He's been decent in the other episodes I've seen and whilst I don't really like the whole idea of seeing the families of the companion featured so heavily he's been one of the exceptions to the rule.

When Rose crossed from her universe, did anyone else think Back to the Future?

Yes. The whole thing about Donna's choosing which way to turn reminded me of Marty's choice to get into the car race with Needles (or not).

I was thinking more about the way Rose crossed universes looking similar to the way the Delorean travelled through time...

Flashes and bangs and all...

But yeah, I see what you mean too...

I am not reading this thread either... waiting for someone to upload this episode...

...waiting... waiting....

:tap

Me too, can finally come to the thread. OH MAN, what an awesome episode. RTD finially starts writing good episodes when he's about to leave :rotfl:rotfl Can't wait till this saturday. Now I'm too hyped to sleep now.

Found out that I leave for VA Beach SATURDAY MORNING! So angry. Anyway, I'll just wait because we come back on the 4th I think.. I'll just hold off and do a two hour straight sit through. Less torture on me in the long run :lol

YEA, but then you have to remain spoiler free for an extra week, don't know if I could do that

Anybody else think that Rose looks a little odd. I mean, I know she lost a lot of weight, but her face looks odd shaped now. Don't know.....

Yeah. I am pretty sure the botox eff'd up her delivery.

Rest assured, the funky lisp is not present in the remaining episodes I have heard.

I hear ya, I was just wondering because I was watching the episode at like 2am this morning, and wasn't sure if I wasn't just sleepy while watching it.
