Does anybody ever get a little annoyed at people playing online games ?

I was playing a game on halo 3 and after we lost this one kid on our team on was saying how everyone else on the team sucked and told us we should stop playing games all together because we're all terrible, when he came in second to last place and the dude in last was a guest

And this one dude sent me a message cussing me out and saying I need to "get a life" after I won a game of Lone Wolves,

Some people just take losing in a video game way to seriously

Some people just take video games in general too seriously. I was looking at the leaderboards on CoD: WaW and looked at the guy in the top spot as far as kills go. He actually had in his Live Bio that if anyone wanted to "challenge" him in a 1v1 match, they had to go through his "apprentices" first. That just made me laugh. It boggles my mind that someone can take a game that seriously.

you get used to it tay trust me..when i go play gears all i get is ''OH MY GOD YOUR FROM YOUTUBE!!!!!'' blah blah and if i dont kill them all i get is your ^^^^ at this game you set up your montages etc etc and even if i do kill them (which i do ) they just abuse me so you can't win...that's why i only play with my mates.

This is one of the main reasons I primarily play in parties on Live. I only have to listen to my friends cuss and swear instead of the idiots who feel they need to trash talk and cuss out other players. When I do play without my friends and just join random games, I just mute the morons who act like ^^^^^^^s.

I must be lucky as I've never been spammed with chat invites or sent retarded messages for beating someone in a match. I usually play with my mic off anyway because people hardly talk to their teammates anyway. Games like Call of Duty 4 where coordination and teamwork would really come in handy everyone just does their own thing. No chatting and no teamwork at all unless they are in a group and if they are they usually just talk smack about the other team sucking and they are "maJorLY PWninG ThEM OMG! ROXxorZ!"

So I just play with my mic muted and ignore retarded douches who can't shut the diarrhea hole in their face.

mmm.. I do that , from behind , from the front and if I'm with friends we all go at it. I'm pretty sure Epic made the down thing just for that reason

That sad the whole complaint thing seems pointless though. I mean people on my friends list ask me to send them negative feedback regarding them gamertag so xbox live make them change it.
Theres nothing wrong with it. They just don't want to pay to change it.

It just all seems a little flawed.

Yep and on PS3 there is no banning and no reporting. Funny I was playign COD last night on my xbox and there were less mics in the games than when I play online with my PS3. Anyway 80% of the time we are in a party chat anyways...which is so unfair on xbox in S&D.

Yea that's a great aspect of it, but being able to still talk to teammates when your dead ruins the whole aspect of S&D.

The only games I play online with strangers are COD4 and Madden. COD4 can be pretty bad; the best (worst?) is when someone on your team calls you a name for "stealing" their kill.

In my experience, Madden is the worst. I don't play with my mike often, but in my experience, sore losers will send text messages.

Last night I was playing Madden 10 on PS3 with "LISTERFIENE_420" (don't play with this guy; first of all, he sucks, and secondly he bombards you with racist texts). He got the ball first and proceeded to go FOUR and out on his side of the field. That's right, FOUR and out. I hate stupid players who don't play smart and don't punt when logic dictates that's the right call. Right after he turned the ball over, I got the message indicator. I thought it may be him wussing out and asking for a friendly quit. Nope, it was a racial comment on his part. Throughout the game, he sent me numerous racial messages that I found funny (NOTE: I didn't find the racial comments themselves funny, I found the idea of a guy being so pathetic to resort to this BS funny). I beat him 21-14, but the score was not as close as it seemed; I shut his offense down and held him scoreless until the fourth quarter. He got his first TD on an interception return and his second TD after he recovered a fumble from my running back in his red zone.

This guy was pathetic in his ignorance and of course, his grammar and English (there seems to be a correlation...). He used the N word multiple times, and was so stereotypical in his rants. Some of the highlights he sent me were (paraphrasing, of course, and unlike him, I can spell and punctuate correctly):

"My ancestors beat on yours, spook"

"Enjoy your welfare check"

"Why don't you get a fat white girl pregnant and skip out on child support payments"

"You'll be a drive by victim soon enough"

So sad. The anonymity of playing online allows idiots to post all the moronic and racist comments in the world. It's sad on one level that someone is this racist. It's sadder on another level that this guy, in his racist anger, assumed that I was African American, which I'm not.

So I stooped to his level and sent him a pretty explicit text about his mother and promptly blocked him, getting in the last word. Childish on my part, I know.

Unfortunately, playing online you encounter the occasional idiot.

i always get cursed at when i play online. i think it is funny. i owned an entire team in CoD WaW one night and had about 8 people pm'ing me death threats. it was hilarious. the ^^^^ talking is probably one of my favorite parts of playing online. i can honestly say that i never did it, but i have this fetish for getting yelled at.........so call me dirty...its cool. i like it.

I love this stuff, so juicy. I hate it when people team kill me because I accidently shot them or their clan mate. Get out of the party system so you can hear my say "sorry" or "my bad"

And don't run in front of my fire when I'm shooting at 3 enemies across the map, and don't stand in front of me when I snipe. I hate when teammates do that and then get pissed for me killing them. You see me firing, don't run in front of bullets, you would die in real life and you die in game...idiots.
