Does Doctor Who get better?

I guess it helps not having any pre DW knowledge of CTate. To me, I thought she was annoying in Runaway Bride. I have softened a bit to her but she still bugs me... I can't quite put my finger on why... I think her acting is good. The banter between she and DT is natural.

She was in runaway bride? Well she can't have been that good I don't even remember her in it! Who was she?

So do you guys and gals in America not get The Catherine Tate Show - well that's a pi**er because she's actually a really funny comidienne in it!

I don't find Catherine Tate's so called "comedy" in the least bit funny and her first appearance in Doctor Who was awful but in this series she's so far been much more tolerable than I expected.
I still hope she gets exterminated by the Daleks in the finale but my TV set will probably survive the 4th series so in that respect she's improved a lot from her initial appearance.

Actually one of the reasons for the Doctor light episodes is simply the filming schedule. They need one episode where the Doctor isnt really around to accommodate the other episodes.
