My Emperor figure was a mess.

:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl that's hilarious !

At the end of the day . . . the bottom line is that Sideshow gets our $.

Sure. Many of us complain and promise to no longer buy/support them in making any more purchases, but the fact is . . . some of us still do in hoping they'll get the message and listen, but enough of us and new customers continue to buy whatever they produce and they get continue to get our $ with no real tangible effect for them to recognize within their bottom line.

The founder/owner of a 1:6 company I personally know once told me that his bottom line is that simply . . . he wants our $ . . . pure & simple . . . yes . . . quality control issues happen . . . yes . . . we'll try to improve . . . yes . . . we will lose some customers and gain new ones . . . yes . . . we can only continue to do & try better . . . we want you to be happy & satisfied with our products . . . but while we do that . . . we want your $.

As collectors/customers . . . we have a right to be demanding & exacting with our $ within reason, but seriously what we consider within reason in line with what Sideshow and other companies consider within reason from a mass manufacturing standpoint?

The trend some of us does not accept it is that . . . companies margin/tolerance for maintaining quality control is almost non-existent because they simply want $ to produce and that's it unless anything/everything they produce no longer sells resulting in little/no $ for them which then will force them to look into quality control provided they find another convenient reason other than quality control (i.e. you customers are too demanding, etc.).

My HT Bespin Luke was missing a hand. Sideshow sent one out within a week. No complaints from me.

:lol

I would help you out, but Sideshow already has all of my money, and no one will buy my stuff. :monkey2

If someone wants to send a case of ramen or any canned vegetables, just PM me.

:horror You make a post with nothing in bold. :horror

Of course, DeltaForce is right--they are a business and their raison d'etre is to bring in $$. But I don't buy as much from them as I would if I had more faith in quality control and customer service. Actually, the former is fine so long as they do right when they screw something up. But they don't even do that anymore in all cases, so I'm pretty selective in what I get from SSC as it is always a gamble in my mind. With HT and Enterbay creeping into the large-scale figure scene, I wonder if SSC will be able to continue its monopoly and dominance over the 1/4 scale collectible world or not without adapting somehow.

Yeah never picked up Lara cause in most pics the eyes looked a little odd. That's certainly extreme though.

I buy Hot Toys Exclusives such as Gordon, Rescue Cap, etc from Sideshow...however, the ONLY Sideshow product I have on preorder is the Deadpool EX. I got tired of their crap QC so I figured I would speak with my wallet and drastically cut back on Sideshow products. I figured if upper management see their profits plummet, they will go back to making the amazing products that put them on the map.

Psylocke PF cracking all over seriously pissed me off, Rogue's paint looked like a toddler used a Sharpie on her, Ironman...too many problems to list:
