Hi Andy,
Yes I did , all seems perfect except I noticed I didnt get a assembly instruction booklet with mine. Just a nice little addition to the package. The masks both fit the facial sculpt well.
Left arm as mentioned before is a little loose fitting compared with the right but not an issue really.
Did you find the facial paint application a little pale ? Perhaps its just I thought it would have richer tones to it. Overall however very happy. Will post some images soon.

Cheers
Paul

Hi Paul, massive congrats once again my friend :) Yea, the booklet is a nice touch and comes with all LSF's so its strange why yours wasnt inside the box? :dunno i'd make sure that your local retailer hasnt removed it from the box by mistake otherwise maybe send Sideshow an email to see if they can help you out and send you another copy :)

The paints apps on my portrait was a little pale...but nothing major. However, i wanted the flesh wounds on my portrait to be more realistic so i had the whole face repainted

Hi Andy,
Those before and after shots really do show the paleness. Did you only paint the flesh wounds ? What colour did you use ? An excellent job done.:):exactly:
Cheers

Andy,
Im certainly going to attempt the same paintjob. Thats such a difference. Is the exposure of the face darker or is it the whole face you painted ?

Night and day. That looks amazing.

Doesnt it :rock looks great

I was just about to say the same thing. What a difference!

Thanks guys :hi5:

Thanks Paul :) The paints were done by a friend of mine here in the UK so i'd have to ask him about what methods he used but inititally i just wanted the wounds to look alot fresher for added realism but i think he went over the entire face to bring out more of the details in the lips, eyes and skin texture :)

Wow! Stellar work!

Sooooo.... I'd like to ask a big favor of somebody who has this. Sideshow's dimensions for this piece are largely worthless:

1) Let's say you want to place this piece in a cabinet, with at least 2" space on each side. How much space would you actually need? (I'm actually thinking of having an acrylic case made, even though it will be $$$).

2) What are the dimensions of just the base?

HI PeepsChicken,

The base measures approx ( 28" long x 18" wide) allowing for the sculptured face on the front of the base which extends out beyond the bottom.

I live in Aussie and I was looking at a case myself but was quoted around $1100. AUD :gah: Let me know what you are quoted please. Curious !!!
I gather your in the USA.

cheers
Paul

Hi again,

You have to remember however that Dooms hands also extend slightly beyond the base. I have only given you the measurements of the base itself . I suggest you just buy the piece then take measurements off it. Safest way really !!!!!

You dont want to spend all that money and find your an inch or two out. :slap

cheers

Mine came in today. One of the eye decals is peeling off, so I get to contact Sideshow for a replacement. No way I'm going to try to fix a $2000 statue.

Other than that, all looks good (except the wrinkled clothes). I may try to iron them tonight.
