I'm sure Raging Bull would display the chalice if he had it, i know i would. But i think he was making the point that he wasnt too fussed about whether he had it or not as long as he had Doom that was all that would matter...i think. I agree with you that the chalice does give the whole display an added edge but i really dont mind it not being there. Unless you wanna lend me yours so i can recast it and customise my own pimp cup!

The pedestal is possibly recastable but that cup is a tough gig! I used to like asking people to put the cup back on the pedestal and seeing their shock when the magnets kicked in. It's one of those pieces tho isn't it? I can see why people put a price on the chalice at the current market prices, cos at the end of the day it's just a cup that's worth a couple of PF's. Or is it?

Can you imagine if someone on ebay sold just the pedestal and chalice..i wouldnt even like to think how much that'd go for. Possibly what i paid to get just the regular ($900)? or is that wishful thinking

I guess it takes up a lot of space, detracts from the statue and screams I own a reg and not an ex so fair point.

I'm one of them who don't care if I own a Reg or an Ex unless the Ex is something I really want & the cup isn't. I just recently managed to buy a Wolverine Ex not because it comes with another headsculpt but because it was the best price I could find one for. The Ex head will stay in the box. With Doom if I had the Ex I would sell the Ex Cup if I thought I could get a good price for it. The cup doesn't add anything more to the statue to me personally & when it comes to displaying my collection its only me who really cares what it looks like. My mates like to have a look but the last thing which will go through there minds is I have a reg & not an Ex & my wife definitely couldn't give a ****

WoW! Just to put things into perspective...on eBay, a brand new Dr. Doom PF Regular is currently selling for over $1500 with 5 days left!

mine might be without the box but it is brand new like above and has cost me just over $900...just shows that you can sometimes get lucky whow knows how much this'll go for?
